not to bust him cuz he left us because i was most in favor for getting this kid but his best attribute in basketball is his i.q. of the game. i would like to see how he pans out. sure to be a great player if he lives up to the hype

Obviously this stings big time,but a class of Noreen,Kofane,Heslip,and Jordin Mayes would be very good in my opinion. 2 sharp shooters at PG and SG and two big guys with upside. 2011 and 2012 are pretty deep in NE,so we should have good classes those years. 2012 is stacked especially woth Ledo,Murphy,Noel among others. We could have a top 10 class without leaving NE.

This is a little different. This is a missed recruit that we were going after hard - not a gut leaving due to graduation. Al has proven he cannot recruit against the big boys.

I think it's pathetic that someone who (probably) considers himself to be an intelligent supporter of BC basketball would get so aggravated and discouraged about the future simply because some recruit didn't decide on BC.

If it is me you are refering to, I'm not too discouraged over this because I never truly believed Odom would wind up here anyways. However, this is not just "some recuit", really. High IQ, local player, would add depth and talent to a stacked 2011 team. But, I think I'll take Noreen over him (high scoring forward, not to mention that if you rely on "stars" or "ratings" he is a 4 and Rod is a 3). I'm a fan of high basketball IQ -- Jared Dudley had it and it made up for his relatively unathletic style of play. That's why I think Odom will be special. But he won't be special here, so who gives a shit.

Even without Odom (or the other 2 recruits to make up the 4 man class), this is a good pair of players. If you call this recruiting class "bad", then you will be proven wrong soon enough.

Noreen is still a potential Boisture. This class can't be called good or bad yet.

Odom is from New York, so i'm not sure how local that makes him. Seemed like a smart, athletic guy who would play next year, so that hurts. My friend is an assistant coach at a mid major and was a little surprised at all the attention Odom was getting, but who knows. He seemed more impressed with Heislip than Odom, but again that's one persons opinion.
