Anyone have any idea what our OOC schedule looks like in 2012? Here's what I know so far:

Nov 23-26 - 76 Classic (vs. St. Louis then Villanova/Long Beach St)
Nov. 30 - Penn St (ACC/Big 10)
Dec. 8 - @ Providence
Dec. 29 - Harvard
Jan. 2 - Rhode Island

Stony Brook

I don't really understand this one either. I just know it's on the schedule and confirmed. Fordham will be pretty bad I'd imagine.

There won't be more than 100 people at this game.

FWIW: I just read on a Fordham message board that the inexplicable game against Fordham at the Meadowlands was called off.

Yea I edited the schedule above. I also noticed we'll be playing Harvard on 12/29 and Stony Brook at some-point.

Yes this was supposed to be part of a double header in the holiday season with two other jesuit schools.

This makes more sense, but I still think it would have been a dreadful failure as there aren't really any Jesuit universities in close proximity to the Meadowlands. Even if the other schools were St. Joes and Georgetown or something like that, it woulda been a tough sell.

I always thought a jesuit double header at the garden would be a big draw. Fordham-BC & GTown-Gonzaga

I'd rather play Gonzaga but this is a decent idea.

Sure obviously the teams & matchups could switch (Fordham would probably be involved with their proximity to the garden) but GTown, Xavier, St. Joes, Gonzaga are all options would be a nice tradition to start.

That'd be cool at MSG. At the Meadowlands...not so much.

my guess would be duchie or hannah hilton

I would guess based on the Yonkers picture this might be someone married to or related to a person who is self-proclaimed to be from yonkers on this board but now either lives in Orange County or the DC area. :ace

I just went over the schedule and I can find about 10 or 12 wins and maybe one or two in the ACC. This could be rough sledding this year.

Better or worse than Wake was in 2010-2011?

Better, a bit. Just look at out of conference, I only see really 5 guaranteed wins in here.

Wins

UNH, BU, Stony Brook, Bryant & Sacred Heart (5)

Close Games

HC, UMass, St. Louis, Penn St., Providence, URI, Harvard

I still think the ACC bottom is filled with mediocre coaches and talent. I think we win at least five ACC games and could win as many as eight.

I actually agree with your premise and think Donahue is a very good coach but our leading returning scorer is Danny Rubin. How on Earth are we winning eight ACC games?

Although the recruits are all young and some are athletically challenged, they can all shoot. I think with Donahue's system we should still be one of the most efficient offense in college basketball. We play Wake twice, Miami twice and Georgia Tech twice. I think we win at least 4 of those. We will upset another team with a hot shooting night, so there are five wins. If we sweep Miami, Wake and GT, we are at six wins, needing two other upsets to get to eight. We won't be as bad as Wake was last year.

Anyone hear anything about how the recruits look in practice? Not sure if they are allowed formal practices yet but it would be good to hear any progress the recruits have made.

FYI Sporting News has BC pick to be last in the ACC.

Does adding Pitt and Syracuse benefit BC at all?

I am not surprised considering our team this year is comprised of 7 freshman and one junior.
Sure we have 2 sophomore and 1 senior who are a semi walk-ons that fill gaps from not having numbers on our team.

I too am guessing we finish last in our conference. However, I think we will do better than Wake did last year as I think Donahue will maximize production with this roster to win 10+ games. Next year, I think we will be a significantly better as all of our freshman will have had a year of experience and Humphrey has a chance to shine after a year playing for Donahue.
