Pretty interesting read, but the fact that we had fewer possessions per game under Donahue last year compared to the Skinner years is astounding.

Donahue slowed it down because we had absolutely no one who could play any defense. He'd prefer to play much faster.

Perhaps we should have spent more time in practice working on defense.

I thought Cornell played at a slow pace, too.

Perhaps Skinner should have kept the players conditioned so they could transition to the pace of the Don's strategerie.

I'm not sure you can just make players who are all seniors better defensively all the sudden. Reggie was an absolutely horrible on ball defender. I'm hoping these freshman at the very least can play a little defense.

Yup and no big bodies or real length down low kinda presents problems too. Hustle and positioning can only get you so far...

Caudill, Clifford and Anderson will provide some much needed size on this team.

Greater size is going to be urgently necessary if the Washington Times article is right in suggesting that the ACC is headed in the direction of trench-warfare basketball. Even if Donahue wants to run more, they have to get the ball first; BC's weakness in rebounding did a lot to slow them down this past season.
