I would prefer to have him come back because there is no way anyone can argue that the team would not be better and have a chance to win some games with him. We arent going to the tournament regardless but it would be a lot more fun to watch a team that has a shot to win sometimes. We are Wake Forest next year without him.
And I still sa he is making a mistake. I don't pretend to know his reasons or if he has issues with Donahue, but I just don't think he is NBA ready. He will get picked in the first round, though I don't think he is a lottery pick. He needs another year to polish his game, especially his handle. He is going to get assraped by good point guards like Rose, Williams, Paul, Rondo etc. That is assuming he gets off the bench.
That said, its his life and his future and he has every right to do what he thinks is best. He has been a fun player to watch and I wish him well.
This team won't struggle with Jackson. I don't consider 20 wins struggling. Reggie makes a huge difference and Elmore is at least an athletic role player.
With Jackson & Elmore
20-10 (9-7 or so ACC)
Without Jackson & Elmore
10-20 (2-14 in the ACC)
