Is the athletic department that you "direct" so incompetent that we have to ship our team off to bumfuck Louisiana because we can't organize and staff an event in 2 days? Way to take the one tiny piece of silver lining about playing in the NIT in that we might get to see this team play a few more games and flush it down the toilet. I am less concerned that he can't organize a sporting event and more concerned that he can't hire coaches. Inherited TOB, Skinner, Inglese and York. He's made 4 hires in those sports. None have proven to be long term answers (only Don even has a chance). 2 of the 4 will be fired within their first contract, the third should've been. If we had a functioning school, our AD wouldn't be allowed to make any more hires (and instead would have to answer to a hiring committee).

I'm calling bs on the "building not being available" for several reasons:

1) GDF has no clue we have a hockey program (and I'm thrilled he hasn't realized yet)
B) both men's & women's hockey practice in the afternoon, so unless the NIT has some stupid rule where the floor has to be down for 24 hours beforehand they can turn it over in time (like they do when basketball has a game at 1 and hockey plays at 7)
