Roche was not exactly highly rated coming out of high school. He was what we thought he was...

I'd add Dwayne Pina and Keenan Jourdan to the list. Jourdan was supposed to be the better of he and Danya, but I watched the Marathon Oil game his Freshman year & he could hardly get up & down the floor without tripping over his own feet. Danya was a physical disaster for a 19 year old kid, but you could see he heart and ability. Keenan...not so much....

How could Dwayne Pina be overrated when he was a walk-on? The non-offer from BC overrated his talents coming out of high school?

Blasphemy on Rakim. According to one poster if Donahue did not run Rakim out of BC he would have made the current version of the BC Eagles a Final Four team. Instead we are all sitting at home eating Rakim's leftover cheeseburger subs.

Gary Ward
John Austin
Terry Driscoll
John Bagley
Bill Curley
Troy Bell
Craig Smith
Jared Dudley

These are the only all-american BC players?
They must be the All-time BC team.
FYI no first-team AA.

I'd think we all would have liked Rakim's 13 ppg, 5 rebounds, 2 steals and defense this season. If not, you are a moron.

That said, he is without question the #1 most disappointing and overrated player on BC hoop history. He should have been a star, and instead he was just a solid college player. But there's a difference between (a) noting that BC would have made the tourney easy even with a fat lazy Sanders and (b) suggesting he is not overrated. The two things aren't even close to being mutually exclusive - the overrated bum would have helped a lot this season.

Forgive me if I suggest that it was harder to make All American in the time of Adams and Barros than it was in the time of Ward and Driscoll. That said, other than Ward, I had the remaining guys on one of my first three teams, and Bagley, Smith and Dudley on the first team.

You clearly didn't watch much of Kenny's career at BC... He could jump and dunk, and thats about it... Entertaining on a Michael Cotton-led team, but hardly on the all time team...

Bigs are def: C.Smith, S. Williams, D. Abrahms, Agbai, B. Curley

Guards: T. Bell, Rice, Barros, Eisley, Bagley

Borderline:

G Abrams, R Jackson, Hinnant, Beerbohm, Cotton, (this is getting pathetic)

Who was the third guard on that Curley-led team that beat UNC... Eisley and Abrams were two, forget the third...

Rakim was part of the possibly the best overall class ever: 2007... and he was ranked 45 overall

Kevin Love, Eric Gordon, Derrick Rose, Mike Beasley, Blake Griffin, Dejuan blair, evan turner, bill walker, nolan smith, kyle singler, OJ Mayo, Cole Aldrich, Austin freeman, james harden, etwaun moore, deandre jordan, johnny flynn, jimmer fredette, and more great players.

This class went deep into the 35s through 70s as well.
36. kalin Lucas-------------Michigan St.
38. Manny Harris-----------Michigan
39. jerryd Bayless----------Arizona
40. Jon Diebler-------------Ohio st.
41. Jajuan johnson--------Purdue
42. durrell Summerrs------Michigan St.
44. Chandler Parsons------Florida
45. Rakim Sanders-------Boston College
48. Scoop Jardine----------Syracuse
49. Evan Turner------------Ohio St.
50. james Johnson---------Wake Forest
51. rick jackson------------Syracuse
54. malcolm delaney-------V Tech
55. LaceDarius Dunn-------Baylor
63. demitri McCamey------illinois
67. Jeff Teague------------Wake Forest

all of these players were college stars and some are succeeding in the pros. it would be nice if rakim was one of them.

Agree, Garris has to be included, a really nice player for BC. Cobb needs to be on the list too.

well, you knew that bait wouldn't last very long in the water. After all, Sanders was a sure lottery pick.

Typical, you said zero.

Would you want Sanders?

Feel free not to answer, like you always do.
