As my friend said, "This will just set us up for the inevitable loss to Wake." Still a great game for the Eagles and I think a signature win for the team and the Don. Every shot just seemed to be dropping tonight, even for Southern. Great win.

I would have taken BC straight up given the fact that (1) Seth Greenberg; (2) Seth Greenberg; and most importantly (3) Seth Greenberg. After Clemson rapes Tech this weekend and the Hokies gets dogpiled in the ACC Tournament, CBS ought to put a "Failure Cam" in Blacksburgh on Selection Sunday just to watch Greenberg's face.

Excellent win, but Eagles can't let themselves get sloppy against Wake. The Eagles played very well tonight definitely an enjoyable game to watch. We were hitting our threes while still keeping the Hokies honest inside. Southern played a very good game.

Try not to be too wildly exultant; it sets a bad example for the team. This WAS a huge success (very much in keeping with our roller coaster season), but it was helped by VT's huge success against Duke, after which they crashed. We urgently need to avoid imitating them when we play Wake (although Wake is bad enough that we might still win even if we crash). You got it exactly right: we're still alive. To stay alive, we need to win at least the next two games (Wake up here and ? in the ACCT). If we can manage that, there's at least an even chance of a five-banana-five-elephant-five-pickle celebration on Selection Sunday (although it's likely to be a close call either way).
