Any students who read this I'm calling you out. I don't care that it starts at 9 pm or that there's snow. Show up to the God damn game tomorrow night.

We're coming all the way from the Cape...students can walk like 5 minutes. I'll be pissed if the student section is half full

The snow is supposed to start moving out between 6 and 8 so there should be no excuses. If I can get there with a 45 minute drive the students can get there. 9pm start should be perfect for them. Have a few drinks, get a little rowdy and come out and watch what should be a good game.

it's a tuesday night and the students have classes tomorrow. you have to realize, art, that these kids aren't importer-exporters... their future depends on the grade they receive on their pop quiz in macro economics.

drinks on a tuesday night. pfft

I am thinking of getting out of the exporting and focusing on importing...but that's not important now.

With a foot plus of snow coming tomorrow isn't it likely classes will be cancelled? That would give them a whole day to study macro economics.

Actually, they very possibly won't have classes tomorrow.

do you think these nerds are going to take a chance on "possible" or even "probable." this is their future, dammit and if they are there to be recognized by pete ireland then they are doomed to a life of homelessness. and that would REALLY suck in a snowstorm

so thank you very much for your possiblies but i assure you that there are not going to be any chances taken when the entire future is at stake!!!!

I apologize for suggesting anything that might put the future of nerds in jeopardy. Perhaps they could stay sober and bring their books to study macro economics at timeouts and halftime.

The Athletics Department is making a major push to sell the tickets....Flyers/poster/e mails etc...Also Coach D was at lower today talking strategy and it was really cool...If it isn't sold out (likely) I will lose all faith...Im sick and tired of this, that 1,000 of the 10,000 students don't want to go to a bball game against and elite ranked program is sad..hopefully im surprised, but everyone will say its snowing to hard :bag :bag

The walk in the snow makes it fun. I specifically remember campus getting pounded with snow the night Troy Bell put up 42 points against Iowa State (2001?) and the ensuing snowball fights on the walk back.

I specifically remember a game against UMass in 2001/2 where it was coming down hard. During the game some of the Zoo heathens 40 rows above became the object of our ridicule. They responded with profanity and gestures because they are just that original. As they were escorted out, it was clear they blamed us as they pulled the classic tough guy "point and puff". On our way out the front doors after the win, they were waiting and began to throw snowballs in our direction. As soon as we made a move towards them, they fled. Pussies.

That was in late 2003, my freshman year. I don't remember the event you mention, but I do remember the game. That was a miserable bus ride to and from Newton.

Nah, I wasn't still a student then - in fact I didn't live in Boston in late 2003, so I know I wasn't at that game. It had to have been 2001 because we loaded into a buddy's truck off campus to get to Conte. And another friend (who hasn't lived anywhere near Boston since we graduated) danced and grunted like a gorilla at them right after they were spotted outside. 2001.

Why was there always a snow storm during home games vs UMass in the early 2000s?

I just made it up from New York and ran into another friend on Amtrak from Stamford. If students cannot walk the ten minutes from their dorms then I am giving my diploma back.

Student Section was sold out tonight. The student body should show up for more games performances like tonight are the reason why BC students have little to no interest. The students showed up tonight the basketball team didnt. 106 points is a disgrace.
