We haven't played a good basketball game in about a month.

Duke isnt all that good?

They're fine but certainly not UNC of 2008 or anything like that. Without Irving this isn't a dominant team by any means.

They've been pretty dominant the last 10 minutes.

Yea because our defense literally couldn't slow down a Middle School Girls team right now. Their shooters are all wide open.

the players are dead. They are too tired. We have no one to spell our top group

Right. It's not because Duke is out of this world good. There aren't any really good teams in basketball this year...

Ohio State might beg to differ. There is no one dominant team that is almost certain to win it all but there are several very good teams, Duke among them.

Pretty much. I'd suggest we start focusing on Tuesday Night because this game is over.

NSCU:Spaz::UNC:TheDon?

Can we refrain from making analogies between Spaz and TheDon?

exactly. it is not as though Donahue came in with a conservative game plan. We went at them. We figured out what to do. Hung with them. They have more depth, their players are on fresh legs, ours aren't. This is not a moral victory. But you can't criticize the coaching here.

That's not the point he's making...no one is criticizng the coaching there's no shame in losing to Duke on the road.

Missed this - you got it right. 923 was way off.

Thinking back to the run at the end of the first half - I wonder if that happens if Biko plays that stretch. He musta sat the last 3.5 or 4 minutes of the half.

Nolan Smith has done so much more than just score - he opened up the entire game by giving the defense just about every look in the sport.

I haven't looked at a box score tonight, but I feel like the rebounding has been pretty even for the most part.

I don't know what's happening with Reggie Jackson. He seems to have lost his shot. Is there something that happened in practice or something that caused him to come off the bench tonight? This is really weird but Jackson has really been off tonight.

our defense did well early, our offense was all around disappointing. The worries about rebounding early in the season haven't come to fruition the past few games, our offense has just been more disappointing than earlier in the season.

What sticks out from the box? Besides IB's whirlwind tongue...8 trips to the FT line and losing TOs 13-6.

Biko Paris is a bad example of the Al Skinner finds underrecruited players. He was committed to USC.

The 13 TOs against Duke isnt too bad since that is below Duke's average, but your right we needed to force more.

less his effort than his ability. He is trying too hard to find his way into the game.

Almost none of our regular guys would be described as "diamonds in the rough".

Southern had offers from the likes of pre-Cal Kentucky
Jackson got late interest from Carolina and other factories
Paris was originally headed to USC
Raji had major offers

The trouble was that for the first few years they were crammed into a system that didn't really fit their skills. Give them all a reset button on their BC careers but playing for this coach and they'd have been awesome.

He didn't play...no reason given. He was either a victim of the plague that nearly killed Joe Trapani on Saturday or he was benched for playing dog spit the last 2 weeks.

did you watch? He didn't play with the speed or effort that he normally does. He looked either sick or uninterested. It was obvious to the announcers too.

i think we need some more rubin, he obviously isn't a game-changer but i think we need those 3's to get our momentum going. i feel like since he's become invisible our offense has taken a bad turn
