The way to the Semi's in the ACCT is getting the 5 or 6 seed. The 5 seed is looking pretty doubtful at the moment. 9-7 with a sweep over VT and Maryland would give us the tie-breaker on those teams and would essentially ensure us the 5 or 6 seed. You'll get Wake or GT in the first round and then FSU (sans Singleton) or whoever takes control of the 5 seed. That's our best chance at the semi's. The 7 seed is certain death (i.e. playing Carolina in Greensboro as a home game) and obviously 8/9 is certain death (i.e. playing Duke). VT has Duke coming to town, Clemson has Duke still left I believe and Maryland has to go to UNC so we could have a gigantic cluster at 9-7. We'd lose to tie-breaker to Clemson...

We win the last 3 games and 1 in the ACC tourney and I think we'll squeak in on the bubble. Win 5 and we're in.

and that's better, we have a better chance against the 10 than the 8 anyway... and maybe that's why we let miami win last night - so we wouldn't have to face them thursday
