I thought the sparse crowds at Conte Forum the past decade were a direct indictment of Al Skinner.

Two things I learned from our loser fans tonight.

1) If the students aren't in session, the non-students aren't expected to show up, either.
2) If it's going to snow on a Wednesday, fans should stay home on a Tuesday.


The fact of the matter is that I wish people could just accept the fact that:

a) unless BC is ranked in the top 5, or
b) unless BC is playing UNC or Duke

no change in coaching style will cause our fans to feel like they want to be inconvenienced by going to a game at Conte Forum.


And the fact that people think 9 PM is "too late" is just pathetic beyond words.

I get that the kids aren't back and did not expect a sellout crowd for NC State anyway, but that was on national telvision and was 40% full at best. It must have looked bad on TV and I will never figure out why they don't pull people down into the lower seats when that happens. At least it would have looked full.

We are only outdrawing Miami by an average of 158 per game so far this year, which is scary. If not for the GT game being very well attended we'd be trailing them and they have yet to have a conference home game. They have Duke, UNC and FSU at home this year and we only have UNC as a game that will be a big draw so it is legitimately possible we will trail Miami in attendance this year. I really hope that does not happen becuase that would be pretty sad.
