FROM THE POSTMAN

I'll drive to his house kidnap him and drive him to Tennessee and then another car takes him up to BC!

Cannen Cunningham announced that he will be making his decision today(Wednesday). It’s all about whether he wants to leave home or not. If he does BC is the place. The BC staff gets the feeling that Cunningham will choose to play close to home and choose SMU, but they wouldn’t be shocked if he chose BC either.

-All is quiet with the 2011 recruiting class at the moment. There are no more official visits scheduled for the rest of the fall as of today. After Cunningham there aren’t any big names on the radar that BC is heavily pursuing, and after he makes his decision official the staff will reevaluate where they stand for the rest of the 2011 class. The staff thinks there’s still quite a bit of good talent left in the 2011 class and aren’t panicking.

-Just because everything’s quiet with the 2011 class doesn’t mean the staff isn’t busy though. Everyone is obviously excited about the big time players from the 2012 class that play locally. BC remains heavily involved with Alex Murphy, Kaleb Tarczewski, and Zach Auguste even though some heavy hitters are recruiting those players. This is a different approach from the last coaching staff who tended to back off when teams like Duke and Kansas got involved recruiting a player. Coach Donahue is following through with his goal of going hard after top rated local players.

Murphy and Tarczewski visited unofficially for the Notre Dame game, and don’t worry, the coaches took them away at halftime so they didn’t sit through that 2nd half!

-The progress of Dennis Clifford is making the BC staff very excited. They say it is tough to find a big man that is as skilled and agile as Clifford is. Some big name schools (Indiana being one of them) came after Clifford when BC offered him in the spring. If BC hadn’t got on Clifford before his game blew up this summer they would’ve had quite the battle on their hands recruiting him right now. Kudos to the BC staff for spotting Clifford early and seeing his future potential.

-Obviously the staff is excited about all of their 2011 recruits. One player who got good reviews was shooting guard Lonnie Jackson. On Jackson’s official visit, his shooting ability really raised the eyebrows of the current BC players who came away very impressed after playing against him.

That's two of our top guys going to middling minor league programs. Was really hoping to land one of them to finish up a nice class.
