i still say we get mayes, i think he is turned off by the fact cal has 2-3 committed guards and are still recruiting others besides mayes. He also likes our track record with guards better than cal and i think we passed up utah with his last visit to us.

Scout just reported that BC has acquired Papa Samba Ndao. He's an immediate all-name team all-star.

Papa is essentially the same player as Rod Odom with a cooler name.

Anyone have an idea of why we're going to take as the last member of this class?

Great News! The class is coming together.

My one question is with pretty much everyone back next year, where are these guys going to get PT next year? It will be interesting to see how Al works them in the fold.

Also, are we still in the running for Jordin Mayes? If we could get him, this probably would be one of the best recruiting classes we've seen at BC in a while.

I can't wait until the hoops weirdos get out of high school for the day to hear their input!

I would bet the pep band can learn to play the biggie song, they are usually pretty good at pop/rap songs.

All we need now is Majok Majok. Only then will we have the best named team of all-time.

Are we taking a fourth player for this class? Are we still going after Jordin Mayes or Majok squared?

is there any evidence that we are actually going to after him, or is it just a hope (im assuming the latter)?

Also I know this is looking way, way too far ahead but would he be elligible for next season?

just a pure hope.

i like him because he's 6'9".

i know he's not a bad kid because he went to my high school and i know the coach there.

in the right situation he could be a player, and players like coach skins.

i admit its a longshot but it would be cool.

I think part of the problem might be that the recent recruits are rated highly. Smith and Dudley were under-recruited and played hungry. Rice was passed on by other ACC schools because he was too small. "Diamond in the rough" has become both a cliche and a misconception about Al but there is something to be said about players wanting to prove themselves.

Not really related to BC, as I don't think we have shown any interest in him (or vice versa), but I went to see some HS ball this past weekend, and this guy:

http://scouthoops.scout.com/a.z?s=75&p= ... id=3798650

is the truth.

He dropped like 50 points in a HS game, and most of those shots were with a hand in his face. I think he was 9/10 from beyond the arc, too. I kept thinking he would eventually cool off, but he just didn't. Whoever lands him is going to be very happy.

He's attending Mt. Vernon preschool for 16-18 year olds. They always have great talent.

Hinds would kill OJ to go to Louisville. Wish Al would have recruited his former teammate, Kevin Jones, who is now at WVU.

As I mentioned about a year ago, Lawrence Academy's PG Shabazz Napier is blowing the fuck up. UNC, Kentucky, Kansas, GTown, Florida... but no BC. He is probably the best player LA has ever had, even better than Antoine Wright or Richard Roby. Or me.

Haha, you went to Lawrence Academy. I didn't know that

Antione Wright was a fucking nasty high school baller. 20 times better than Mike Jones, who also played in the ISL at that time and played the same position. He was from Cali, right?

I was better than both of these guys. I was also better than Courtney Sims.Who actually kind of sucked.
