Is that a nickname? [see: Stacey King, Kenny Walker (both sans 'e')]

As far as I can tell, Skye (with an "e") is his proper first name. He seems to be fully committed to 2014 at this point.

In another 2014 case, Jalen Norman appears to be definitively off the board for 2013 and committed to a postgrad year at Quakerdale Prep in New Providence, Iowa. (One of the other schools he considered was Brewster, which would have been convenient.) New Providence is 25-30 miles from Ames, and Iowa State is one of the schools interested in Norman for 2014 - mere coincidence? Other schools mentioned as showing interest for 2014 are Baylor, Creighton, South Carolina, and Tennessee. Norman is beginning to look like a write-off at this point.

Apparently Norman also tore his MCL recently.

Here are the reasons to think Johnson is 2014: his rivals profile says so

Here are the reasons to think he is 2013: there is a youtube video from before the 2011-12 season and the caption under him says he is a junior, which would mean he just finished his senior year. If you google him he shows up on other message boards as a 2013 target. he was listed as a late target along with hamilton and kelly on TOS.

I don't feel like starting the fight over whether he would be an acceptable get until it is determined whether he is 2013 or 2014 and he signs, so we can do that later.

Questions... I've seen this before, but again for Johnson... why would BC offer a kid for 2013 and not 2014?

because he doesnt likely have legit offers or thinks better ones are coming for 14. Schools are probably telling him do a prep year and we will come back to you. BC is figuring if he does a prep year, he blows up, we lose him. If we offer him for 13, sell him hard that we want him now, and if the kid doesnt really want to do a prep year, then BC might land him, and if they must redshirt him.

Skye announced on twitter that BC was offering him as the class of 2014, so that ends that argument.

Don't be surprised if he blows up on the aAU circuit this summer, he's going to be playing on a pretty good team; also, we've seen Donahue offer a lot of guys before they blow up.

So realistically we're still looking at a best case close of Hicks and Reynolds? Are the only other possibilities on the radar at this point Severe (pipe dream), Kelly, Kanter, and Hamilton?

Seton Hall offered Darryl Reynolds last night. It just feels like they're the competition for every recruit BC offers now.

I agree, I just didn't know if I was missing anyone. I'm somewhat of the mindset that I'd be happy with that and disappointed with any other combination or lack thereof. Basically I'd like another guard and someone capable of playing C in this class. I don't want to be Anderson to have to play the 5 next year and I don't see how you can count on Clifford at this point.

Seen this kid in person a number of times. He is LEGIT.

He's undersized, but he's lightning quick and is a true point guard. Grades might be an issue though as Prep is not known for its academics (see: his teammate Greg McClinton who transferred to Hargrave because Prep couldn't keep him eligible)

As a prospect, Harney reminds me a lot of Jorgenson: definitely a pass-first PG (10.4 ppg, 9.8 apg) with a good 3p shot (48%) if the defense backs off to close the passing lanes. He's had a lot of high majors looking at him, so he appears to be a plausible Plan B get. I would certainly rather get Hicks, but Harney (again like Jorgenson) appears able to fill the necessary needs: sharing PT and especially sharing ballhandling responsibilities to reduce the physical strain on Hanlan and Rahon.

Harney is three inches taller than Daniels.

also, if they played Wu at conte and people didn't get it, I'd give up on the fanbase.

I think I'd pay another semester of tuition to hear the torture intro to Method Man as our intro music (which is 1/2 Raekwon by the way so topical).

Not an athletic rebounder/shot-blocker, but I'll take him for his very good skills.

Father was the giant dude that played for the Celtics, eh. Guy that had like never played college hoop? He was like 7', 330 lbs. I liked that guy for the short time he was on the team.
