This was part of an article on Chad Calcaterra. Another poster says that the reason isn't distance as others have speculated.

Arizona is now the leader for Odom. How many times can a man keep getting kicked in the junk before he goes crazy? The Clemson humiliation, the Pats getting beat and now Odom wants to head left.

Jeff Goodman tweeted last night regarding Odom:

"Also, Rod Odom said knocked Ga. Tech off list. Visiting Harvard this weekend, then BC. Been to AZ, also looking at West Va, Vandy.& L'Ville"

Even if Zona is his leader, I still feel a little better about our chances with Georgia Tech out. Hewitt can really recruit. He can't coach at all but he can really recruit.

i agree thats huge GA tech is out. We have the best chance now because we're one of his last visits. he likes playing early and a good mix of education. if hes as talented as people say he is then he'll feel right at home

every recruit from around here, football or basketball, thinks their shit don't stink and that they can do better than BC. Then they go somewhere else and finally realize they aren't that good

You guys are fucking 74. Don't shit on the kid because he has offers from some of the greatest programs in the country. Just be happy that he is seriously considering BC and hope that we get him. He would be great here.

yeah lets just be happy that the best local talent is CONSIDERING BC, we should be pulling in a decent amount of top talent in mass and new england, not just happy that they are considering. And we're not shitting on him, if he chooses BC great, if not whatever, but BC has been strung along by too many local recruits for people not to be frustrated

Unfortunately, we do not get the majority of strong local recruits because Al and his staff are not that impressive to a kid who has real choices. It has nothing to do with BC as an institution.

Oh Cadillac 90 you are not a very nice person. You sound like such a tough boy. Do you drive a Cadillac? Or are you the old woman who was going 35 on the Skyway through Gary tonight? I promise never to hurt your deep man feelings again. You keep believing - and someday we will all be driving Cadillacs again.

Sorry I don't come on here saying things about uncommitted players considering BC that could potentially affect their opinion about BC. I just don't know why anyone would do that. There is no point and it does no good. fag

No worries, you didn't hurt my feelings. You just need to get a clue about what you're talking about. Let me guess, you're just mad that Skinner only has one Sweet 16 appearance?

Skyway and Gary...sounds like you're from Chicago. You must be a southsider, that explains everything.

I was at Harvard today. Rod Odom is visiting there today as well. Tommy Amaker had Doc Rivers make an "unofficial" appearance. It didnt seem like Odom was too excited about playing there in the first place but 10/3 is the big date

ESPNU's breakdown of the top PGs in 2010 included this on Heslip:

Sleeper
Brady Heslip 6-2, 170
Burlington, Ont. /New Hampton Prep (N.H.)
College: Boston College

Heslip first burst onto the national scene with his stellar play at the Adidas It Takes 5 event in early July. He is a tough, hard-nosed point guard who makes good decisions and consistently knocks down open shots with range. As the future ACC guard continues to excel against the high-level prep school circuit, it will be evident why the Eagles are so excited to have him.

I don't believe a single thing that guy writes. He's hoops weirdo #1. His alleged "sources" are voices in his head.

Half the posts in the recruiting thread on the other board:

cam:
bc is recruiting xxx. i'm hearing their is no way he'll be A eagle.

oj:
Al sucks.

That said, I don't think Odom's coming to BC, but not because of anything that guy writes.

cambridge is a complete fucktard. He hates BC, loves mediocre NE basketball players, and roots for top talent to leave to other programs. In other words, he is Leo Papile with no actual knowledge.
