Jeff Goodman just tweeted that Matt Humphrey is transferring to BC from Oregon...pretty exciting except for the fact that he's done next to nothing in 2 years for the Ducks...

Matt Humphrey -- Oregon transfer -- to BC

Jeff Goodman just tweeted that "sources" are saying Matt Humphrey is transferring to BC. 6-5 sophomore guard from Chicago. He was injured for much of this past season but had a good freshman season. I like this and the Taylor move because they provide the team with some experience for two years in what will be a major building time.

I like the pickup. Adds more experience to the team and the kid was rated pretty high coming out of high school.

"Humphrey brought a streaky left-handed shot - he averaged more three-pointers than any Oregon player other than Tajuan Porter last season - and an emotional presence to the game. Perhaps no Ducks player had more fist pumps or displays of emotion than Humphrey."

Nice.

Donahue is all over the fucking place looking to fill out the roster. Very impressive.

Agreed this is a good pickup. The transfers also help to balance out our roster in terms of class year, which is important as well.

I am happy he is filling out the roster with a few older guys for '11-'12.

How does one approach a kid from Oregon or NJ or do they reach out to us. I now if things arent working out a coach might help, but that wouldnt be the case in NJ.

No one can ever complain about this. He is a high major kid transferring from a respected program (I've always liked and respected the former coach Ernie Kent and his ability to find talent). We are in need of bodies. If they breathe... it is better than what we had. The fact that they may have a modicum of BB ability is just icing on the cake. Hell, I'm happy they landed Taylor and he is coming from lowly Monmouth. Humphrey is simply a very solid pick-up.

Anyone hear anything about Bryce Cotton?

Lazy Elvis would be knocking back jumpers at the Rec Plex talking about his days with Dr J. and his own bad self being the Rec Plex Career Scorer.

Now we have ADSD.....Attention Driving Stevie D.

It's gonna get better when he gets to the next tier of the Alex Murphy and bookends commits..

It's ain't over for kids commiting anywhere...

My money is on SD.

Makes a ton of sense for BC. Pulling players from every freaking part of the country at this point.

Two excellent transfer additions. I think the kid from Monmouth will be a good player as well. Still think we could use one more body that is eligible for this season, but I suspect the Don is focused on 2011 now.

According to his Scout profile he had offers from UConn, Mich and ND among others. Also says he can play some point.

great gets for stevie d, i like that taylor was the go to guy on his team, eventhough it wasnt a great conference, being the best
on his team will help his transition to a better conference. seems like he thinks he has a shot to play at the next level also,
maybe that will help motivate him and a change of scenery is going to be good for him. oregon good program and good
coach, so im hoping that his experience is goign to carry over well. and the fact that htey both have a year to practice and play
is goign to help a lot also. if either are as close to what we got out of traps, ill be very happy. great work for steve, looks like
his staff is out there working hard and travelling the country, maybe he can land one of the big MA recruits now. really not sure
why we havent gotten involved with that kid naadir tharpe yet

This gives us some hope that next years team won’t consist of cardboard cutouts Josh Southern will be the only cardboard cutout on this years team I like the fact that the Don is filling the roster with older guys that have some experience
