Umm we need bodies at this point, we're going to start running short on players who can play if we lose all three recruits from 2010 and 4 seniors from next years team. That leaves you Jackson, Elmore, Ravanel and Dunn I believe. We can't play with 4 in 2011 and you're only allowed to bring in a max of 5 per year.

It's too bad Skinner couldn't find a player worthy enough to use a scholarship on for the 2009 recruiting class.

Meh, I'm not buying the "I heard from my source" bullshit yet....you guys can believe whoever you want, but until a legit reporter is reporting something like "I guarantee 2 out of the 3 will leave" then I'll buy the bs.

Well, here's a bright side. If a lot of bodies leave, that just means Joe Jones will get to work on a big class.

Optimism, people.

Heslip would be out of his mind to leave. Noreen would also. Papa is a project. Hope he stays but God knows we have had enough projects here to last a lifetime. Please Coach D - no more projects - just more talent from the projects!

I would guess that a guy who is already in school is not leaving. Noreen, however - who the fuck knows. Maybe some of the weird tweeter stalkers can tell us...

Also, another signing period opened today, so it could be something as simple as that. As noted on the other board, Heslip already used his redshirt year, so he'd only have 3 years of eligibility of he transferred. I don't see it happening, but who the hell knows.

I talked to a national reporter about BC today and he said he thinks it is unlikely that Noreen and Ndao stay, FWIW.

It is not a good sign if the first job Stevie D and his staff have they fail at.

Seriously, are these kids turned off by an exciting basketball coach?

I think it presumes too much to assume that Stevie D cares enough about either of these two kids enough to consider their departure a failure.

I agree, maybe SD/Jones© think they can recruit better players to the Heights and that these players are available either this year or JUCO so if they want out they can be replaced. I am going to give the staff pretty wide latitude the 1st 3 years if I see the team show up in shape and playing hard and the coach can x&O an inbound play.

JUCO kids are tricky at BC, because well, most of them are pretty retarded.

I'd much rather get freshmen that can contribute right away than America East and JUCO transfers. Remember, now there is a coach in place who might not care about seniority for PT and doesn't have to teach the intricacies of the boreflex. Let 'em ball coach!

Losing Noreen would suck, btw.

This is true, but Duke just got a Juco transfer so it must be possible to find one who is not a complete tard. Just another option to be explored.

Trapani was an America East transfer and that worked out ok.

Sure, but in the ACC he should be our 4th best player AT BEST.

Agreed, but if any of our incoming freshman back out we are only goint to have 4 players so having a "4th best" sounds pretty good to me. The fact is that is is unlikely we are going to find 5 or 6 freshman who can all contribute right away so mixing in a transfer or two would not be a terrible idea.

True. I was just stating my preference and saying the death of the boreflex and mindframe of the new coach (of course he might not have a choice soon) play into the fact that freshmen have a better chance of playing right away under Don than Skin, regardless of the need.
