■ Former NBA star Michael Adams has resigned six weeks after being hired as an assistant men's basketball coach at St. Bonaventure. Adams said he wanted to focus on supporting his son through his senior year in high school.

Adams spent this past season as head coach of Archbishop Carroll High school in Washington, D.C., after two seasons under Gary Williams at Maryland.

Coach Mark Schmidt of the Bonnies, who was a teammate of Adams' at Boston College, said he was disappointed but supported his friend's decision.

Even though he basically quit on his team against USC in the NCAA's a couple of years ago, Tyrese is one of my favorite BC Basketball players ever. Probably the swagger and cockiness. Same reason those Smith, Dudley and Marshall teams were so sweet.
