Call me crazy, but I think Pearl is still in play. If Pearl, hypothetically, already told Gene "NO Thanks", one would think GDF would be more forthcoming in his response to the Pearl inquiry. i.e. "Bruce is happy where he is. He's got a great thing going at TN, and I wish him the best down there", etc,etc,etc. Instead, GDF only says he hasn't contacted him and admits Bruce is a great coach. Perhaps I'm reaching for straws. But it seems that GDF, if he knew that Pearl wasn't coming here, would be more forthcoming about it, just to ease the blow later on..

I do like how he, throughout this process, realized that there is a problem at Conte Forum.

The problem is, he doesn't truly get it.

The coach was a problem, yet he'll probably fuck that piece up by hiring a poor replacement. Second, Conte sucks for many reasons. One is The Nerdification of BC. Second is the terrible marketing effort of the BC Program. Third is the terrible pricing model the Greasy Fuck has implemented. Lastly, everything about the atmosphere with the sports programs has been killed by Greasy DeFuckface. The buck stops at Gene D. He has failed miserably in all aspects. He is blinded by his dictatorship - blinded by his ultimate need for full control. Sadly, I don't see any light at the end of the tunnel.

I'm sure Pearl has been contacted, but maybe just not by GDF as it is very doubtful PEARL would want to come for a variety of reasons which includes an administration that won't pony up. Parenthically though, the bb program is retrained by the administration/the school with strict guidelines in place after the slime(some of which was as slimey as it gets) that had taken place periodically over the last 30 years. The school wants a clean, competitive and enthusiastic(main reason AL is gone)program which is not coterminous with annual national championship contender(as in Pearl)

I noticed some BC GUYS like to make fun of DUKE for years on end here.

I also notice this applies to West Virginia, even after I posted how for 30 years WVU owned BC at Alumni and elsewhere when it mattered during that season. BC always choked it up.

BC has never won a conference title when it was in a conference for football.

Both WVU and Duke in Final 4, one will be in Title game.

Duke is again a lacrosse power. WVU is a premier Football BCS Program and now Hoops with a guy I wanted at BC like a Calipari in Huggins, but of course they are who they are,--- and the rest are percieved to be different, which is pollyanna thinking. Huggins and Calipari are winners.

Pearl, Pitino, and more...are the same as Huggins and Calipari...Lavin too.....except for maybe Knight who never ever cheated and Mike K whose record is probably unblemished.

This is a business. The big business of winning. This is not about student athletes.

This is about winning.

BC is about losing and the using the immature weak ass graduation card.

This big business is $$$BILLIONS!

Duke's football program is building through a new passing game. If they beat BC what are you gonna do then?

Their Nerds are winners. Those Hillbillies are winners.

We have Spazoo and a 70 year old OC in Topoo.

Both have far superior Athletic Directors and Programs.

Aside from 2 non high profile Ice Hockey and Sailing programs, we are what we are.

The ACC has 8-9 teams, back and forth, inside of the Baseball polls.

BC was a 1 year pony.

There is hope!

I understand BC may be the first University In America to go Divsion I in Quidditch!

I am sure those wild nerdy fans on that infamous 5th floor dorm at BC--- where also I heard, many magical balls are flying and bouncing too!--- will form a hard core fan base since they also like riding each other's brooms through scoring holes!
