I'm not sure why Coen is widely regarded here as a higher-profile/better candidate as Cooley. I'd probably rate them as comparable. That being said, I don't think BC hires either.

I get that Cooley is willing to market the program and shows some fire, but if we are going with Skinner guys wouldn't we want Coen who has the eye for talent? Both have and will run the flex, so that is a wash.

I tend to agree. I'd give Coen a slight edge on being a more enthusiastic recruiter (just a feeling). What a lost opportunity if we go with either.
