Katz and Gottlieb

During halftime of the UCONN game last night, Andy Katz and Doug Gottlieb were discussing the various coaching openings around the country. Al's name was never mentioned as a candidate for any job. Al supposedly was a candidate the last time St. John's had an opening and he is from New York IIRC.

Al's not going anywhere. He's not exactly a "hot name" in coaching.

Skinner has no incentive to leave. He's not going anywhere, coincidentally just like our basketball program.

An overall good-but-not-great 57 year old coach who is already in one of the two best basketball leagues (historically, not this year), isn't going to have a lot of suitors. Skinner's coaching BC next year.

and 2011-2012 and 2012-2013...then when his contract ends....we renew it since the local rastafarian weed dealers keep the BC teams spirits up.

At least the ACC could get another competent coach.

The continued employment of about 8 coaches in this league are a reason why it's sliding to mediocrity.
