It the wake of last night's embarrassment, people have been tossing around some strong opinions about the program and its coach. The reality is, no matter how much you whine about it, Al Skinner's not going to get fired. His overall body of work far outweighs stupid, relatively meaningless losses to Harvard. Moreover, even if it were a possibility, firing a coach is not a productive solution. If you want to suggest replacing him with someone in particular then go for it. Otherwise, you're foolishly presuming that there's someone out there who will jump in BC's lap and improve the situation. (Unless, of course, you believe that there's nobody who could be worse than Skinner, which is bullshit.) As Gene hopefully figured out last winter, you don't do something rash without thinking about the consequences and what you need to do next.
Rather than responding with knee-jerk reactions, let's try answering a few questions.
1) What do expect out of BC basketball?
2) What do you want out of BC basketball?
3) What's it going to take to reach those goals?
