He was embarassed on the defensive end of the floor tonight. And he is invisible on the offensive end of the floor. I've watched almost every game this year and can say without question that Southern has been more of a liability than a contributor. And that's being generous.

i think Al is finally starting to realize it. I could be wrong, but I didn't see Southern on the court during the final 5 minutes or so.... with the exception of a couple quick offensive/defensive substitions so he could rebound during foul shots. He also got a real quick hook at the beginning of the game after giving up about 4 easy baskets in a row.

None of our big men should see the floor when RS comes back. Southern is a liability. You pray he never gets his hands on the ball. His alertness seems way off. Somebody take a blood sample on this kid.

Southern: 20 minutes 3 points 1 rebound. I'm 5'9" and I guarantee you I could get more than one rebound in a half of college basketball especially against Harvard.

Skinner didn't light the world on fire tonight and I've blasted him for the last 3 hours but Southern, Roche, Biko and Jackson deserve a whole lot of the blame, they were absolutely awful tonight.

I'm wondering what made Josh Southern a four star center. was a four star center. Southern is a low three at best. Scout screwed the pooch hard on that one.

Stats don't always tell the story, but 3pts and 2rebs against Harvard when their forward (no center...) goes for 21 on 9/14 shooting is unacceptable.

Time to give Dunn and Ravenel a shot; it cannot get any worse & at least we'll see some effort. Southern can't even be bothered to take bad fouls anymore!

I think center is the biggest hole on this team. The lack of depth is really hurting us now as Ravenel appears to offer nothing and Dunn is just a backup power forward. I can see why Al tried experimenting with that small lineup earlier in the season. At this point I would try Trapani, Roche and Sanders at forward, Reggie and Dallas at guards. I don't know if interior defense could be much weaker than it is now but at least Trapani and Roche could provide offense and Sanders would be less likely to play on the perimeter. Let's hope Noreen and Papa can play right away.

He played better the first Duke game. 7 points and 2 rebounds is a great game for him.
