Chilltown {l Wrote}:"There's no question that the chemistry of the team is improved without Tyrese Rice, but the Eagles have still managed to squander hefty leads in the last few games – an area that Rice had taken care of in the past due to his aggressiveness and killer instinct."

The guy that the team looks to to score the points down the stretch is a de facto leader. By definition, they follow his lead. I am talking on the court, not off it. There is a huge difference between a leader and a captain. A captain can be a marginal contributor, like oh, say, Roche. A leader is the guy that puts his team on his back. Only two guys on this team are even capable, although Raji and Trapani can do it in some short spurts.
Jason Varitek = Captain
David Ortiz = Leader.

Is ignoring a mod-only function (like the super-secret message boards), or am I just to stupid to figure out how to do it?

So it's probably the same logic you applied when you say Al isn't a good coach cause he doesn't scream at the refs and pace up and down the floor.

Chilltown {l Wrote}:I agree. This came through loud and clear down the stretch against Miami. Jackson deferred to him (for better or worse) on handling the ball and triggering the offense, and when he made a key layup, he fired up the rest of the guys on the floor. Now if only he would have confidence in his own shot...
By the way, Claver, do you know if that was Raji's brother who was sitting courtside opposite the BC bench and was going crazy in the 2nd half?

Didn't notice the person who you were referencing, I'll be on the lookout at future games.

Is there a 3rd Raji? If he plays hockey, the Raji family could complete the trifecta.

By that definition, Tyrese Rice was a leader. And any definition that categorizes Rice as a leader is wrong.
