Players out for tonight

Postby b0mberMan on Wed Dec 02, 2009 1:22 pm

Besides Rakim, I just read on MGoBlog's preview that Trapani is a gametime decision with flu-like symptoms and Roche is likely out. Anyone see this anywhere or know anything?

Here's the info, from Katz and and the Ann Arbor News, not any Boston source

Trapiani game-time decision

Roche likely out, back

Roche doesn't mean a whole lot but we're going to get absolutely worked if we're playing without Sanders and Trapani.

Who am I kidding, we're losing by 20 tonight anyway with Coach Handsome at the helm against the 1-3-1 zone.

If Trap and Roche are both no gos, we get a good dose of Ravenel and Elmore by default. At least I'll get my wish to see what they look like out on the court.

I hate the fact we're playing on National TV in Ann Arbor with the Big 10/ACC challenge on the line WITHOUT Sanders, Trapani and Roche. This stings.

On the positive side we really have nothing to lose. If we win than its a very impressive one, with aruably are two best players and our only senior out, and if we lose then it will be excused by injuries...with that said, theres almost no way we win this game, based on how poorly our 3pt shooting and defensive performances have been

a perfect opportunity for Southern to take the bull by the horns. Perhaps this could be his coming out party......
18 points, 16 boards, and a flagrant foul....that would be a line I'd love to see from him.

The average person watching the game is not going to take into account our injuries if we lose the game. To some extent, neither is the tourney committee come next March. Bottom line is - if we lose we will be 5-3 and it doesn't matter one bit if 2 starters were out for the 3rd loss.

Al had 3 years to recruit big men and look at some of our peers and the depth and talent they ahve and we got shit.

A certain type of player is Skinner talk for "whatever"???

We need a recruiting assistant and fuck the flex.

Kids wanna play not learn the Nuclear bomb theory of interior passing in the lane?

Look at UNC...whole new team, whole new style, its called adapting to your talents.

Fuck the flex and fuck our recruiting situation even if we blow away the Wolverines.

if southern picks up 2 fouls in the first 5 minutes, how many bench players can replace him for the next 12?

Let me rephrase that:

if southern picks up 2 fouls in the first 5 minutes, we lose
