It's funny then because Sanders had 2 game winning shots last year that I recall (VT, GT). And Sanders got and missed the last shot down 1 to Duke in the ACCT. Did Ty have any (taken or made) in '08-'09?
To Rice's credit, he did make some very big shots. He was a great player. But because he was a SG and not a PG, he hogged the ball, used up the shot clock, and took bad shots, completely stagnating the offense. He was a horrid team player, and Al was forced to put the ball in his hands for 35-40 minutes a game. It is no wonder that a lot of other guys didn't improve dramatically over the past three seasons.
