This team is all talk. "We're going to be better without Tyrese Rice." Even the players said it. Boston.com and Andy Katz published articles about BC saying they were underrated. Clearly they were wasting their time if BC can't even win out in the loser's bracket. This team should not lose to St. Joe's, let alone Northern fucking Iowa with OR without Sanders.

UGH!!! My husband is going to be so pissed when I tell him we lost to No Iowa. WTF!? We participate in a Season Long Pool every year and I convinced him to take BC as one of our teams. I'm beginning to think it was a big mistake.

I'm not pissed with this loss alone. UNI is a very good team, tourney last year, all starters return. However I am PISSED with this combo. We had to make up for St. Joes with a win here. If we had beat St. Joes and then lost to UNI in the winners bracket I wouldn't have been mad, but this coupled with St. Joes sucks. This is looking like a season to forget. What I'm trying to say is that I am more mad about St. Joes than UNI but both of those together make me completely pissed off. I thought basketball was going to be a good season to forget some of the bad football memories with, but I guess not. It had better get a hell of a lot better when Sanders gets back.

I tend to disagree with this. With Sanders they beat St. Joe's,and probably win today IMO. Losing him hurts alot. He is the guy that the team looks to to make plays,and create oppurtunities. He hits the big shots as well. Without him there isn't really that go to guy out there when things start to break down,and that is part of the problem. Obviously the other ossue is defense,but that IMO can be fixed.

It looks like you may be right. And getting sanders back may help a little bit, but he is by no means a leader. I think that's part of the problem with this team. There doesn't seem to be a leader on the floor. That is compounded when your coach is not a leader.

This is the type of team we need a strong coach for. There's no leaders like Curley, or Dudley or Troy Bell on the floor. That's why I think this team is going nowhere this year. And like I said, Sanders is gifted physically, but I think he's a little soft. You would've hoped Southern or Paris would have stepped into the leadership role, but it doesn't appear that has happened or else we wouldn't have lost to 2 teams with less talent than us already. Sucks that its already an uphill battle this year....

I totally agree. Watching Purdue and Tennessee last night made me realize that we are just a lineup of "solid players", nobody elite or even great.
