As with most threads on this dumpster fire of a place to waste time, this thread is essentially useless, except for one small thing: I had no idea Leonard Hamilton is in his 70s. I still think of him as the young guy who Jordan unceremoniously canned because he was unable to change the unchangeable and make the Washington Wizards something other than an Astrodome-size pile of shit. But I suppose that was 20 years ago, and he wasn't as young as I thought.

P.S. Call this a prediction if you want

That is an insult to Ralph Willard’s kid. Manny posting or, if you like, mannyposting, is akin to Bates hiring Eddie Fogler to hire Jim Christian fresh off of JC running away from TCU before the posse lynched him.

Yes, but he did it with Jimmy Mac's players. We need a coach who can build his own winner.

Strange coincidence that the dipshit coach was gone and the star freshman recruit had his season high in minutes, attempts and points. Glad he was able to overcome Rich Kelly’s absence.

Saint Bonaventure and Mark Schmidt won the A-10 today and basically clinched an at large berth if Joe Lunardi is to be believed. Might have to bring the agenda back with a vengeance.

It's easy to recruit when you can tell a kid that he'll be playing for the winningest coach in MAC history.

2) The Tabbs situation had nothing to do with the program. Other students have been dismissed from school for violating Covid protocols. If Christian was winning and Tabbs was a contributor, then the rules would have been bent, but that is not the case obviously.

3) The search firm was engaged a while back. This is something that Leahy wants. The feedback he got from Kraft and some key people is the program needs more than a coach. It needs a new culture.

4) It does not look like Kraft has anyone in mind for the job. It sounds like he is not even leading the search. He'll just be one guy on a committee. This not like the Hafley hire. It's more like the Christian hire.

Point 4 makes my head hurt.

Point 4 is dumb and if it were true, should be a fireable offense.

Not in the least. Hafley was one of several candidates Jarmond had in mind before he fired Addazio. There was no need to let the market develop. Despite popular lore, Jarmond had a lot of help pitching Hafley and Leahy on the deal. Kraft has a bigger task and he is going about it the right way. This hire will make or break his tenure. He needs to be smart about it.

How is hiring in a sport no one at BC cares about “make or break” your tenure at BC? How is this different from hiring a new volleyball coach or a new leader for the swim team?

DeFilippo, Bates and Jarmond created a domino effect that has imploded the program. We are currently standing among the rubble. There is no going down from here.

A Paul Hewitt hire (which is the worst name of a slew of awful names floated) doesn’t make the program worse... it just delays the rebuild for another 5 years. There is no real difference between 12 years and 17 years. All this hire is is an opportunity to accelerate Kraft’s tenure. And, even if he hires the perfect choice, it will still be years before we see the turn around.

Not in the least. Being clueless is not a good look. And it's not likely to lead to a good result with the clownshoes way decisions get made.

This is a good gimmick.

But, it is going to fail one day. It is highly unlikely that the announcement will be before 9am (which is when TRE is posting). He should probably wait 12 hours. However, I'm not sure the mall is open that late.

All the malls are closed, even the ones in Texas. The only Jackson-Hewitt kiosk tre can work is at Wal-Mart, but they shut them down with covid.

i'll never remember to do it consistently as an evening thing. therefore, it's one of the first things i do when checking this site (even before the daily skanque poll) because i don't know if i'll have a chance to get back later in the day.

besides, fuck all of you - this is my gimmick and i'll run it the way i want to run it
