They’re 4-0 but yet to play a P5 team. Minn -7 is the line

I'll give you credit starting a game thread just after noon on the day of a 7 pm tip off for this horrible program. After I saw Minnesota and 4-0, I had to check about 4 times to make sure it wasn't about hockey. Spread made no sense though.

I’m tuning in just to be able to root against a Pitino.

I think BC probably plays much better than Thursday Night, but still loses

Score will end up with something ridiculous, 49-46.

EDIT: Turnovers still a problem.

The defensive improvements are super encouraging.

Is Scott injured ? I didn't see him last game, and haven't noticed him in the game tonight ??

Vanderbaan looks skinny, but at least he's getting some minutes.

JVB looked functional out there which is more than I can say for most 7’ freshman in college basketball

Mitchell looked smooth on that turnover.

I think it is great that Minnesota has both Jamal Mashburn’s kid and apparently Paul Grant’s bastard son.

The announcing for this game may be more terrible than our basketball team.

Tabbs and Heath are like Bell and Sidney out there.

Good effort Steff. Absolutely fucking clueless and lazy underneath. Minnesota is certainly happy they didn’t recruit the home town kid.

The basketball IQ of this team is Hansen-level stupid. And I find it remarkable that this piece of shit team has me screaming at the interwebs version of the clouds. Finally, Ricky Jr. is a terrible basketball coach. Basically sucks as bad as Christian but has better talent to work with.

Heath and Tabbs with some brutal decision making.

I’ve seen worse from BC

I don’t really get why Heath wasn’t benched for his second ridiculous decision down the stretch. We have other functional guards on the bench

I decided my life would be better without watching more of this team.

Seems like I made the right choice.

Steph Mitchell sucks at defense. And that's the good part of his game. Got abused down low again.

Done with Heath and Tabbs chucking shitty 18 footers. More coaching. Its a bad shot.

I'd like to see more Felder and the brothers. Thanks!

Hmm talented team, bad result. Always grabbing a loss in the jaws of victory. You hate to see it

EDIT: Actually to that point this year is looking so much like Donahue’s last year it’s eerie. But funny too somehow

The complete lack of a half-court offensive scheme is appalling. Maybe I just stopped watching the last few years and WFH has me looking more for an escape, but I USED to think Jimmy Mac could scheme OK but talent-deficiency, long dry stretches, never having any defense, constantly rotating through 5th year transfers in the front court, etc overshadowed it. Maybe he's just given up. But we don't run sets, like, ever, other than random motions that try to run through Steff fucking Mitchell. otherwise its iso-ball and chuck contested jumpers, or MAL tries to go 1 on 4 because there's no one to roll or drop off to anyway. There's just enough offensive skill that we score 70-80 a night doing that, but man, imagine if we could eliminate the 8 minute dry spells by not only having to rely on tough shots falling???

If everyone of these guys were new to the team and we didnt have loyalty to guys like Steff, I would start Karnik and Felder up front. Kelly as my 1 with Tabbs and someone else to round out my 5. Maybe Langford as my 3 so we don't start 3 guards under 6'3.

Kelly as the lead ball handler is as bad as anything I’ve seen since Eli Carter. He should be there to take a few threes

The lineup should be MAL, Tabbs, little Langford, Felder and Steff. As much as I hate the fact that Mitchell hasn't improved one bit on offense in his 8 seasons, and the fact that the gross overrating him as a defender is a sin, he is still one of the top bigs. Bring Kelly and the Amazing Karnik off the bench with Heath and leave each one of MAL or Tabbs and Steff or Felder out there with them at all times. 8 man rotation.

Seriously, what is with the dry spells. They had a 15 pt lead and it evaporated quickly.
