If BC lost these first two games by less than a combined 50 points I’d be surprised.

Let's get some excitement going - we're playing the #3 team in the country in our opener tonight! Villanova has won the national championship 2 of the past 4 seasons! A win tonight would be a statement and could be the inflection point for the whole Christian era!

OK, more likely we get smoked by 20 points, but it is more fun to hope for now.

Just so folks understand... we will be playing in the 2K Empire Classic tonight. The Gotham Classic was scheduled for December. We weren't invited and the event was cancelled when Cuse and LSU backed out. There are a host of articles out there about the Bubble that was created for these games (and how ASU and Baylor are bother loaded with COVID). Nonetheless, our game is tonight at 9:30 on ESPN.

Should be great game. Villanova has more height, but we've got the edge in experience and coaching. The world is full of sham-pandemic-related uncertainty...hard to see how that doesn't favor BC.

I have heard to expect guard-heavy lineups and that Heath, Tabbs, both A-L brothers, and Kelly will all be out there

I think the strategy all year is going to be "go as small as you can get away with"

Lol usually we have decent 5th year gunners from big programs. This one is from fucking Quinnipiac.

I wish they had lost this lead with their best team on the floor. They didn’t. It’s an encouraging performance, but I know better than to this means they will be a good team this year. Hopefully they learn some lessons.

Encouraging, but it'll be tough with just Mitchell, Felder and Scott as the bigs.

The only thing that would have been more telling is if Christian just took a literal dump in the middle of the floor.

I can't imagine any more incompetency. Imagine controlling the majority of the game with an aggressive offense and a zone defense and then just flat out abandoning that on both ends of the floor once you go up 9 points halfway through the 2nd half.

BC sports is pure fucking torture.

Game ended in concurrent runs of 28-10 and 17-6. A really poor final 13 minutes of play after a glorious first 27.

No one expects BC to beat any one who is semi competent because we constantly let shitty coaches run our programs for years, but just the way we flat out panic and abandon everything that works is depressing.

I was gonna say how bummed I was that we played 30 awesome minutes and got really fucking complacent but this is way better
