@JonRothstein
Boston College's Wynston Tabbs (knee) is expected to be fully cleared for all basketball related activities when team workouts begin in the fall, per Jim Christian.

Missed all of last season.

Averaged 13.9 PPG and 3.9 RPG two years ago.

This is the equivalent of 10-2 season for basketball.

I look forward to another 10-20 season led by a bunch of useless 5th year players.

But it's not like I'm advocating playing one of these guys over Danny Fortson or Malik Rose.

Rebounding is overrated period. Only people in their 60s pound the rebounding shit. Make shots.

When other teams miss we need to grab boards in order to "make shots".

Again, putting the tallest guys on the court does not cure rebounding issues. Putting the best guys on the court can disguise them. This is not a strange concept, its how most of the NBA operates, including the Celtics and in particular the Rockets, who don't even want Clint Capela on the court.

In any event one of the reasons I support Felder starting is because if I had to hazard a guess, Felder is probably one of the best candidates to rebound on the team after Mitchell. In the limited minutes he played he seemed like an athletic high energy guy that likes playing in the paint.

So the small ball, positionless basketball team that you love so much just got worked badly by a bigger stronger team. Got outrebounded badly in 4 straight losses. They have 2 MVPs and it didnt make much difference vs a talented team that was larger than them. Playing no bigs is never a good idea.

The Celtics are in the Eastern Conference finals starting an undersized PF at C. They're playing a team with a C that would be an undersized PF 10 years ago. Anthony Davis is a freak. You get Anthony Davis, and BC should start a big. You recruit a 225 lb 7 footer that can't play, go small.

Mark Gasol getting worked and Ibaka standing at the three point line chucking threes pretty much makes the point. After a series where the Celtics flat out dominated a team with one of the best Cs in the league.

Unless you have the best, and even then, bigs are dinosaurs.

Karnik is sitting unless there is some blanket change to the eligibility rules.

We just can't catch a break with these injuries. Every year it's someone........

I wasn't sure if he was trying to graduate this summer or something like that. Wishful thinking I guess. Could have really used him after the Adams injury

Matchup is set

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. -- Boston College will open the 2020-21 season against preseason No. 3 ranked Villanova in the first round of the 2K Empire Classic at Mohegan Sun Arena on Nov. 25. The game will air live on ESPN at 7 p.m.

The Eagles and Wildcats will meet on the hardwood for the 77th time in the history of the two programs. Fifty-two of those games came when both teams were members of the Big East Conference.

The two teams last met on March 23, 2006 in the Sweet 16 round of the NCAA Tournament. Villanova won, 60-59, in overtime at the Metrodome. BC is 3-5 all-time in neutral-site games against Nova.

In the second round of the 2K Empire Classic, Boston College will face either Baylor or Arizona State. The Bears rank No. 2 nationally on the 2020-21 Associated Press preseason poll, while the Sun Devils check in at No. 18.

I'm sure they will torture us with replays of a certain goaltending call off a baseline out of bounds play
