Yep. Fordham basketball is like an eternal dumpster fire that should burn in front of the memorial to Smush Parker's NBA career.

As for BC recruiting, we ought to be focusing locally and trying to get some love from the AAU, but we also ought to be recruiting the NYC and DC Catholic schools hard. Sure, you aren't going to beat out the Baby Rapists for the absolute best recruits out of those pools, but there are a lot of diamond in the rough kids in those leagues, who aren't intimidated by the Baby Rapist players they have spent their whole lives playing against and who will stick around four years and feast on Baby Baby Rapists during their one and done year.

On a separate note, Duane Woodward is apparently a recruiting dynamo, getting a lot of love for the talent he brought into Monmouth and now Seton Hall. Might be helpful at some point to have a NYC recruiting guru who also happens to be an alum who as player was the profile for what we might harvest from there.

Duane wanted the DBO job at BC and Jimmy MAC took a pass.

For real? When?

When Jimmy MAC was first hired. Duane was working at Fordham as their video coordinator and wanted to come to BC in 2014 when Jimmy MAC was hired. He took a pass on Duane and the rest is history.

Slightly disappointed because I thought we could actually get him unlike Haarms. Still need another big extremely bad.

Marcus Santos-Silva is transfering from VCU. Werent we in the running for him out of HS? I know hes a New England guy. Not sure if eligible immediately though.

He’s from Taunton and looks like he played 3 seasons at VCU (possible he could have graduated). I believe Jeff Goodman said he originally declared for draft and had second thought ?

BC was involving in his recruitment and will be again here.

The number of players we have on scholarship who transfer to the WCC (or insert similar conference here) is probably why we struggle at basketball.

The master scouts of EO had strong opinions on this young man, I recall

Not surprisingly Haarms cut his list and we aren't on it. With him and Cole off the board where do we go for a big? Almost everyone seems gone already

I thought he was pretty athletically limited for the ACC

Karnik to BC. The exact piece of the puzzle we were looking for.

Jimmy MAC is reloading!

Final 4 run coming. Seriously though I'm happy with any big body. He seems limited athletically, not very long but hes a veteran and appears pretty built. Maybe the strength and experience can negate some of his negative attributes. For sure an upgrade over Luka so that's something.

Puts Luka even further down the bench which I'm sure we are all for. If we do indeed add him or another competent big, dare I say we aren't a horrible team talent wise? I kinda like that we dont have a ton of redundant players. Everyone's skillset is a little different and that can be a huge thing for a team that will probably have to spread minutes around, having no superstar.

Any youtube clips of Karnik? Felder the only proven rebounder off the bench?

Gueye is 6'10".

I saw only a few short clips of him truthfully. Felder is the only rebounder off the bench but we will probably see small ball lineups. Langford off the bench and slide Scott up the 4 and Steff to the 5. We could use another big though.

There's zero chance Karnik and Scott are starting with Mitchell like this is the late 70s. Add a Langford in there and probably Felder.

Scott starts I believe. Hes switchable on d and can stretch the floor. Steff obviously starts. If Langford starts at the 3 we may be the smallest team in the country.

Plus we started Jairus Hamilton, Steff and Pop plenty. Plus the other Hamilton who cant shoot.

Scott at the 5. Maybe. No way the Patriot League starts together with cant shoot Mitchell.

Pop and Hamilton are FAR better players than the Patriot League All Stars.

I don’t think anybody disagrees with the statement that Scott/Kelly/Karnik aren’t nearly as talented as Popovic, Jairus, or Thornton.

But I’d make a bet they aren’t nearly as lazy or entitled, and will be better teammates.
