Glad you asked Vegas, due to yesterday’s events SDSU had now PUNCHED its ticket to the dance in my book

That brings us to a total of 9 teams that have punched tickets. Should be a wide open tournament this year, bracketologists are predicting a whopping 14 teams will make the field in all.

SDSU down 1 with a minute to go and the stakes couldn't be higher. Win and they're in play for a #1 seed in the Big Dance. Lose and they're getting their ticket punched to the CBI.

Gotta think SDSU still gets no worse than a 3 seed.

I also think they will likely be the first of the 1,2,3,4 seeds to lose.

Vegas I'll be in your town in 6 days. Send me an IM is you want to meet at a sportsbook or whatever (that is assuming any of them will be open.)

Well played sir.

As far as I know, March Madness has not (yet) been cancelled. Its just that no fans will be in the stands. I think the games go forward (so bets go forward.) If there are no sports to bet on, poker room it will be.

Don't come to Vegas. Get a refund. Cancel your reservations. Everywhere is going to be shut down within the next couple of days. strip properties included.

Thank you for the advice. The thing is, some of the people I am travelling with are teachers and they will be out of the country in a few months. This week is the only time they can get to Vegas. So of they don't go now, they can never go. We know almost everything will be closed. But they still want to see it. For them it will be their first trip.

Lights will be on but they wont be letting anyone in.
MGM and Wynn just announced that they are suspending operations on Tuesday. Thats about 10 of the big strip properties. Crazy.

Yeah, we all conferred and decided to bag the trip. Our VRBO host gave us a full refund.

Our concern was not that everything was closed. We were concerned that that some of us might not be able to get back on flights and make it back home again (cross country) and that family members might get sick. So it just didn't make any sense. And that is sucks but what can you do?

i know it's not really the same thing, but can't you try to satisfy yourself and other with a skype-gay-orgy? your local jizz mopper won't be happy about it because of all the shortages of cleaning products but at least you and your buttbuddies can have the time "together" that you're hoping for.

also, this would allow the fatties in the group to use filters to try to make themselves less disgusting... at least via skype/zoom

If we are lucky (very lucky) we might actually get a March Madness this year.

Once again, Gonzaga looks unbeatable. Michigan on the other hand.....

I love that the NCAA is taking this Covid-19 situation intelligently and responsibly. The entire March Madness tournament will be held in the state of Indiana, and all 68 teams (whoever they are) will be rooming together in one hotel in Indianapolis (the NCAA booked the entire hotel for 3 weeks), totally quarantined off from the public. No one with Covid will be permitted into the building. The players, coaches, and refs will have ZERO CONTACT with anyone else outside each other. And unlike last years, these games will be played.

There is an RV "shortage" out there. Apparently, with Covid-19, getting an RV or a 5th wheel trailer is what everyone wants to do for vacation. Kind of like a self-imposed vacation in exile. 5 years ago, a RV spot with full hook up (electric, water, sewer, and cable tv) was about $39 a night. Today? Some RV parks with full hook up are getting as much as $80 a night. Ft Wilderness in Disneyworld charges $150 a night for an RV parking spot with a hook up!
