I've never seen a BC team pressure the ball like this. It might be meaningless against better teams but it's impressive now

We’re playing good defense, Belmont is taking tough shots and hitting them. Offense is finding easy buckets for pop

I didn't watch. How are people suggesting the defense wasn't bad? I get it's a tourney team, but a hundo?

First game I have not watched so far but in the first 3 Herren was definitely playing with zero confidence and quite tentative.

These were the games last year he played surprisingly well.

I see this game as an outlier vs a good team. I still think this is a good defense that played a poor defensive game

That being said it wasn’t just poor, as the great Big L once said “I wasn’t poor, I was po, I couldn’t afford the o-r”

but the second half we really started getting lazy and not sliding correctly giving them wide open shots. give them credit
tho they made the open shots. was one of the better shooting nights I have seen in a while. not sure why CHJ was playing
as much as he did, it made no sense. rishwain should have been playing a lot more than him. its still going to be a long season
for us but don't think we are going to running into teams shooting like that again for a while.

Belmont has been to the tourney 8 times (including last year.) They are strong mid-major team. They've never won a tourney game (always drawing Duke, Wisconsin, or another powerhouse in the first round) but they are a well-above-average mid-major team. In any event, they are still mid-major and an ACC school should not be losing to the likes of Belmont in the regular season. Recruit better players Jim Christian.
