It's a completely different sport to 15 years ago the way the refs call it now

Popovic is such a good player. We have him vs Providence we win by 5-10

Pop is a good offensive player. On defense his slow rotations were responsible for about 30 points.

When injuries happen, there is just way too much dead weight on this roster to be successful

I just double-checked if Meznieks is still on the team (he is).
"I have history, and I understand history, so I know where we’ve been and where we are, and where we are trying to go, okay? But it’s been somewhere between 6.5 and 6.6 wins a year since 1980, which is 38 years. We’re at 7..."

Mez, VBJ, Reyes, Wilson, Luka are all players who, if you need to play them, bad things will happen. You can't have almost 1/2 your scholarships utilized on players who cannot play.

The coaching and more specifically player development stinks, so maybe these kids would be better players under a different coach.

Yeah it's too bad no one ever taught him to play defense because he'd be a hell of a player if he could guard well too. We haven't had anyone who could score in the post like him in a long time

True but his offense more than offsets his poor defensive play. Let's face it, they need him on the floor.
