You have to wonder what's going on in the head of a kid who transfers from Vanderbilt to IUPUI

Turning the ball over and not rebounding

Popovic did the avoid the contact, throw it at the basket from 3 feet that never works for the 11 year olds I've coached!

BC could win this at the line.

our 4/5s inability to even be respected as 3 point shooters is annoying, they're just crashing on ky

New coach required

Also, there is no way Hamilton had offers from UNC and Duke.

We've discussed that there would be some bad games early in the season like this. The team needs time to acclimate the freshman into the team and get them some experience. I really think this team is going to have some amazing wins and a lot of WTF losses.

Still needs to work a deeper bench. If the savior of the team is the elder Hamilton, they are in big trouble.

Christ, that was bad.

The new radio play-by-play guy sucks, too.

Sorry but I have no patience left for basketball. It has been agonizing for the last 7 or 8 seasons. Enough already. :whiteflag

Yea, no doubt this isn't good. But if you fire Christian and we have another rebuild of 2-3 years ahead and this is with Christian coming off his two best recruiting classes. How many leave when a new coach comes in? Are you ready for more transfers?

We'll see. There needs to be improvement and losing Robinson isn't an excuse. What is most aggravating to me is that it has been clear that this team needs another big and yet nothing has been done to address it. Mitchell and Pop can't do it all themselves and Reyes hasn't shown yet he can provide good minutes. Next year's class doesn't provide any relief there either.

not to pull an epstein but there are a large % of scholarships devoted to players who aren't acc (or honestly high midmajor) players

Wilson, Baker, Mez, Luka and JC should be nowhere near an ACC roster at minimum. That’s almost half your scholarships.

They should play Herren Jr more. Shoots, plays D and hustles

The above is dumb.

An ACC team should not lose to IUPUI.

This is overly apologetic. They should've lost to St Francis. These aren't "bad games early in the season", these are completely inexcusable efforts against bad LOW major teams that a power 5 conference team should never have, and its just too consistent a story in the Jim Christian era.

And spare the "acclimation" excuse - if this team was breaking in a million different combinations of guys it'd be one thing. Its a freaking 7 man rotation (and 1 of which is completely negligible in Kraljevic who's role is designed to essentially not be seen/heard for the 2 minutes per half JC wants to play him), and the 3 guards never exit the game, 2 of which have been in the program for 3 years. There's no acclimation. 4 returning starters. A top 50 frosh. Against St. Francis and IUPUI? Come on.

Its completely on JC if the 2 frosh need more time to be "acclimated" that he has 6 wasted scholarships he can't even use against bad Horizon League and NEC opponents. So far we've played the 6th and 8th ranked Horizon League teams and the 7th ranked NEC team in their respective preseason polls. Thats embarrassing.

Worse than Meter?

Yes. Meter at least had flow to his call and used inflection. This guy almost sounds like an AI bot calling the game.

No longer a watchable product. I recently dropped $350 for near floor seats at the upcoming BC v DePaul game in Chicago before Christmas, to treat my 2 kids to a BC game in person. Mistake. Martin, I want my f-ing money back. A 10+ year absence from meaningful post-season play is bad enough, but this continuing bad coaching, and no effort players is just inexcusable.

Even the WBB announcer was frustrated. Rebounding is effort. Getting out rebounded, many offensive rebounds, by IUPUI is frankly unbelievable. Bye bye MBB. Bring back Men's Lacrosse, MJ, drop this sh!t show once and for all.

Shocked I'm the biggest apologist for Christian right now since I think he's entirely mediocre and Spinelli deserves most of the recruiting credit. I'm still waiting until ACC play starts to put him on the cross.

He went 0-18 in the ACC and has losses to the following teams:
- UC Irvine
- Santa Clara
- UML
- Nicholls St
- Harvard
- Hartford
- Fairfield
- IUPUI

This is not an excuse for the performance, but it doesn’t help that there are about 750 people in attendance. It’s pretty depressing to attend these weeknight games. Not only does BC probably have the weakest support in the P5, there are probably another 100+ schools that have better fan support.
