This assumes Robinson stays. Wonder if Rothstein has heard anything?

Hope he does

Bowman and Robinson are both entering the draft, though neither have hired agents.

there's no reason for both of them not to do this

reading the release from ky's aau team with quotes it definitely seems this is a due diligence / learn what he needs to improve thing

If Robinson stays, then Top 25 is realistic. Team could be very good, like in Skinner’s better years. This is a bit different than Reggie Jackson or Hanlan who would have returned to terrible teams their senior year. Robinson would be playing for a good BC team and possibly earn additional accolades and improve his draft stock. Seems like if he leaves now his best case is late first round.

I can’t see Bowman leaving he’s at best second round now and has a lot of room to improve with more college ball. I think he also said he is going to play at least another year before declaring for NBA.

The teams at the end of the first round are generally way too good at NBAing to take Jerome Robinson there. Now, top of the second? Now we are talking.

He's an NBA player, moreso than Hanlan certainly. Another year would help him, however. Hit the weights and win ACCPOY.

From the Heights:

“After consulting with my family and coaches, I have decided to declare for the 2018 NBA Draft,” Robinson told BCEagles.com. “I will not hire an agent, as to maintain my collegiate eligibility. I am thankful for my experience at BC and this opportunity and I look forward for what is to come.”

Bowman could be an absolute superstar if he could ever figure out the turnover/reckless decision making deal.

Robinson's gone unless something goes very wrong before or at the combine, which is the prudent decision for his situation.

Bowman is a confident guy who may be comfortable betting on himself, which makes him a wild card. Odds would be against him getting drafted at all. I believe he should and will come back...but again, he's a wild card.

Rookie contracts for 2nd round picks aren't guaranteed. If the NBA tells Robinson or Bowman that they're projected to go in the 2nd round, I expect they will withdraw from the draft and come back for '18-'19. Let's hope these young men have sensible people advising them.

i foresee reverend mike predictions for both of them ("get paid. kid") but it winding up with them being paid in drachmae or litas

On Jan 10th I floated that they'd both be gone (and had the quote mocked by people who don't even like sports after each Ky turnover). Nonetheless, this was posted then and I think it still holds today.

FWIW, the NBA mock draft doesn't have him in the first 2 rounds. Can you see him as a starting PG for an NBA team next year?

No chance. His ball-handling, decision making and jump shot aren’t close.

I could see Robinson leaving.

I think you guys all have a view of BB that is from a decade ago (which is understandable as that is the last time we were relevant as a program). But, all-conference players don't stay for 4 years. In the sport, there is a stigma about still being on campus as a Junior or Senior. It has absolutely nothing to do with whether he is good enough for the NBA right now. He isn't. But, he is a candidate to get paid overseas or in the G League. To most, that is more valuable than losing in the ACC and being forced to attend class.

Just so I can keep my agenda going. He had a very good visit with Bonnies' Mark Schmidt. The question with Cremo is whether he wants to be a first/second option at a legitimate mid-major or if he is happy to be a role player on a P6 team. From what I have heard, there is zero chance he considers BC.

Cremo is a solid player. He's not drastically changing the fortunes of either SBU or BC, however. You know the guy that epstein always says "would be really good in the America East"? He's that guy. Rich man's Tyler Roche.

Seeing he was basically good for 18-4-4 at Albany, my guess is that translates to 11-4-4 at Bonnies. He's probably 6-2-1 at most P6 schools. If Bowman and Robinson leave he is probably an 11-4-4 guy at BC, only BC is an 0 for the ACC team whereas Bonnies is a top 4 in the A-10 if Courtney Stockard comes back.

Albany came in fourth in the America east and he was their second best player. He's a decent athlete but even the A10 might be asking a bit much for double digits. He'd contribute and wouldn't look overmatched, however.

it was a sarcastic response basically attempting to lay out that if eepstein was half as good at basketball as he claims to be, he would be heading to springfield years before kobe and bronnie (for the hall of fame, not for his 10 year reunion at springfield u) doubled down with the sarcastic statement that clearly eepstein wouldn't be a guard because he is so tall and manly

it was a pretty failed attempt all around and helped me realize i should get back to the line at the kiosk as these people only have 6 more days to file

I can pretty much guarantee I play more basketball than anyone else around here.
