will be interesting to see what the corrupt ncaa does about this.

yahoo's article showed line item transactions for players on about 50% of the acc (ncst, duke, Clemson, unc, nd, & uva)

https://sports.yahoo.com/exclusive-fede ... 38484.html

maybe we can get board favorite fbi investigator on it

It has been almost 5 years since that loser contributed anything

This would help explain why BC struggles to get high end talent. About half the conference is paying for it

No coaches or ADs mentioned, yet. Until that happens, this scandal won't amount to anything other than the players getting screwed over again.

UNC had fake classes and was paying kids? How did anyone commit anywhere else?

Also, we could have had Carlos Delfino for $73?

If corporate compliance presentations have taught me anything, it's that if you're going to make a series of illegal payments, you probably shouldn't keep track of said payments in a single, easy-to-read spreadsheet

Also, I'll come out and say it, there's exactly 1 player we've recruited in the past 10 years who it would not surprise me at all if we cheated to get him....and he committed a month and a half ago

Does Rakim Sanders' unlimited cheesesteaks perk make the ten year cut-off?

The NCAA won't do a thing. But, what they should do is penalize each of these programs by forcing them to play with less scholarships over the course of 5 years.

That UConn transfer big men wanted some ridiculous sum of money from BC as I recall.

I actually think the opposite... I'm interested to see how they handle the discipline. They've never been shy about busting up offenders, and their statement on this doesn't sound passive

Sean Miller paying $100k for a one-and-done is nuts. But, it shows how out of control these pay-for-play situations have become.

If I was the NCAA, I'd levy a show cause on any coach caught. This is the most basic of moves as there are always coaches available. Nothing irreplaceable about guys like Sean Miller. But, I'd pull up to half the schollies each of the schools could offer over the course of 5 years. Essentially, hurt these schools by having their BB programs suck for almost a decade.

The FBI should investigate BC for throwing basketball games after the embarrassment that was the last 5 minutes of the 2nd half today.

Jeff Goodman made a good point on twitter today re: having to make a coaching change this year and the major uncertainty behind who you can hire. Im still of the belief that Christian will be back next year, but if there was a change, it really throws another variable into any search assuming this is all still out there, hanging over everyones head.

Jeff Goodman
@GoodmanESPN
Imagine being an athletic director who has a coaching change over next couple months, trying to figure out who to hire and whether they are in the clear of FBI probe or any other wrongdoing ... Even more than usual will hire search firms in an attempt to gain "cover."

sounds like this would be a bad time to have an outstanding bet long the proposition that Jimmy Mac will be fired within 3 months

Seems like BC picked a good decade to be irrelevant in BB. Don and Jimmy Mac don't care enough to cheat. So, we're one of the few programs not sweating out these multiple investigations. That said, if Jimmy's Miami game coaching gets him fired (it won't), I think Jarmond would look either to someone he knows well from tOSU (i.e. knows is clean) or someone from the NBA (like Eisley or Dudley) who wasn't around the college cesspool.

Btw... did you see the NCAA is investigating how Will Wade and LSU was suddenly able to land the #3 class in the country pulling kids from PA, NJ and Seattle?

I believe Don is/was clean. I don't think it is safe to assume JC is/was. I have no proof but I am not naive. I think most Power 5 schools are going to come out looking bad in this.

Eddie Fogler's got himself a deerstalker cap and an oversized magnifying glass, and he's ready to find out who's really clean.

he's supposedly coaching and clearly doing that wrong... so i wouldn't take it out of the realm of possibility that he's cheating just as poorly as he's coaching
