That may have been the single worst officiated game in the history of college basketball--including the games where the refs colluded with the mafia and certain players at CCNY and LIU back in the early 50s. I have watched Globetrotter games where the officials did a better job. If that crew ever works a game more significant that a 6th grade CYO holiday tournament game, it is evidence that God is dead.
And also, fuck North Carolina and their only slightly-better than Duke fans. i am glad dean Smith died scared and confused. I only wish his senility had left intact the memory of every time he gacked it up in the tournament despite having twice the talent of most of the teams he played. I also wonder when USC's antitrust suit against the NCAA (which arises from the fact that the NCAA has not punished Carolina for its decade long program of academic fraud) will finally destroy the whole stinking edifice of college athletics.
I have to say, about the only time I am sympathetic to Father Leahy's position on athletics comes when I watch Roy Williams or Nick Saban hoisting a championship trophy.

More than I would like, but it also serves to make me okay with the notion that college football and basketball as they are presently organized are going the way of the dodo bird and that BC will likely not sign up for the next iteration of what it will become. The good news is that the quality of football and basketball that BC will sign up for post-split, when the academically inferior schools of the P5 decide that even pretending to edjamacate their collections of illiterate thugs is too much and simply go full minor league, will probably resemble the bottom of the P5/top to middle of the better non-P5 conferences, so it won't be much different than it is today.

I mean...not for nothing, but most of the fouls called were fouls. I mean i guess they could have let them play more but then it just would have been more clutching and grabbing and more missed shots.
Just sloppy play by both teams for most of the 2nd.
