Fogler (and UMass) recovered very nicely. Mike McCall is a very good up-and-coming young coach. He may not become the next Calipari, but is the type of bold move I wish BC was capable of making.

McCall coached Nat Dixon at Chattanooga (I guess thats where he ended up after leaving BCFB and going to JUCO).

Another local PG dropped his commitment today, Makai Ashton Langford stepped away from Yukon. From Boston, played at Cushing or Brewster (247 and Rivals say different schools, doesnt really matter). BC offered orig, but apparently his final decision came down to Yukon, PC and Louisville. Claims the reason he decommitted was because he wants to have the ball in his hand more immediately, but its likely because Yukon is a dumpster fire right now (why would he orig commit with Jalen Adams being there if that was the case ?).

He's not coming here if he wants the ball in his hands.

He's not coming here if he is trying to avoid a dumpster fire.

Enoch transferring from Uconn is someone we should def be trying to get. Someone that is familar whos been on campus and would have two years left to play im pretty sure.

I'm told by a UConn grad the situation over there is:

"Enoch was/is a scrub who can't play defense, Jackson's dad (another transfer) is a helicopter parent who thinks his kid is magic but the kid can't guard a chair, and Ashton-Langford would be #3 on our PG depth chart behind Adams & Gilbert (who redshirted this year). Sucks to lose those guys & there's clearly something more going on, but in a vacuum each loss is sort of explainable"

This is the same UConn grad that told me some big donor paid for Diaco's buyout and managed to convince Edsall to return for ~$1m.

That being said, if we get Enochs, he'll be a good fit...since he can't play defense, no?

I heard a rumor from a friend that Wenyen Gabriel's name has been floated as a potential transfer from UK. Hes at least local so maybe there could be an outside shot although likely not going to happen (and not even guaranteed that he is leaving, just a rumor)

Got this from a UK friend of mine re Gabriel:

"Gotta think he stays another year. I think he can still be a beast at UK and a decent pro. He's got all of the tools, just has to cut out all of the mistakes. We forget too much now days it's still 18 yo's, some not gonna get it immediately..."

He's coached in the NBA for about 15 years now at least.

I wouldn't be surprised if he's successful. I think he can be their version of Skinner. But, like Skinner, a ton of Ewing's success will be determined by his assistants.

Curtis Cobb is leaving Fairfield. From Fall River. Avg 14 pts and 4 rebounds this year. Would be nice depth behind Robinson, he smoked BC this year at Mohegan.

We took a look at this guy late in the recruiting cycle but decided not to offer (As best I can tell). I think he's still a little pissed because after he scored thirty on us I believe he retweeted some random guy saying "well BC should've offered him!" or something like that. Or maybe it's a sign he really wanted to come... arguably a more explosive version of Chatman on offense, no idea how good he is defensively because I only watched the one game against us. Worst tattoos in college basketball, non face/neck division.

STEP RIGHT UP, HE'LL FIT RIGHT IN.

Despite the fact that our 2 best players are guards, we only have 3 on the entire roster. We clearly need more

Cobb is basically a slightly better version of Jordan Chatman. He's a streaky jumper shooter.

He absolutely lit up BC at Mohegan Sun, but the defense was also bad as you can imagine

His game off the dribble is marginally better than Chatman's, but some of the mascots in the halftime basketball game had a better selection of moves off the dribble than 3 and D.

Cobb is a welcome addition, he could absolutely play in the ACC

I don't understand why any transfer is signing here. You're going to transfer, only to have the coach get fired and have a new coach here.

I again need to see the final roster, but as currently constructed there is a 0% chance JC survives next year. A lineup of Ky, JRob, AJ, Erv and Pop with the complete junk we have off the bench will win 1-2 ACC games and suffer numerous disasterous OOC losses when Ky and JRob aren't feeling it.

What's the proposed alternative? Go back in time and make Donahue recruit better and not allow any of them to transfer?

Didnt we recruit him out of high school with the old staff? But anyways we have no shot im sure we'll get a big that averaged 3.5 points and 4.5 rebounds from the Northeast conference.
