Pitt hired Jeff Capel. Meh.
"I have history, and I understand history, so I know where we’ve been and where we are, and where we are trying to go, okay? But it’s been somewhere between 6.5 and 6.6 wins a year since 1980, which is 38 years. We’re at 7..."

That's a decent hire, considering the other options.

Capel is more Snyder and Wojo than Collins and Brey. This will not go well for him. That program is a flaming train wreck and the fans are absolutely delusional. Another Eddie Fogler production that will end is sadness.

He wanted the BC job badly when we hired Christian. Fogler steered BC away because he never was a head coach (and Hopkins wasn't paying Fogler like Jimmy Mac was). After BC passed, he got the Coach-in-waiting title at Cuse. That said, the bloom is off the rose a little with him. He was pretty terrible when Boeheim was out last year and they gave him the reigns. Nice guy, though. Definitely would have been a better choice for BC.

Just beat out everyone for a Top 5 recruit. Has been doing pretty well in a historically not-great program. 21-13 last year 13-4 this year.
