Syracuse game thread

BC +10

This is the worst Syracuse team in several years. Then again, it's a pretty bad BC team too.

Don't look now, but we're in 8th in the ACC! De-fault, the two sweetest words in the English language.

Might be our last look at Boeheim.

My keys to this game include not doing whatever the heck it was we were doing last year against the zone, not getting crushed on the boards, and not playing like crap generally.

Corporal Funishment's how have they not graduated yet all stars:
Dajuan Coleman, Cuse
Amile Jefferson, Duke
Davon Reed, Miami (seriously, how)
Kennedy Meeks, UNC
Michael Young, Pitt

This is a winnable game and I already regret making that comment.

Agreed. He has really figured it out quickly. Christian noted how coachable he was -- made a comment about Bowman coming up to him and saying how bad his defense was even after a win.

If Bowman can hit 3s then all bets are off

This looks like a cuse home game esp in the bleachers

I'm watching the Bucs game, but I'm shocked BC is up early in this game. I know Cuse stinks, but we are wildly inconsistent.

This may be the most winnable ACC game of the year. Cuse lost to St. John's by 33 points.

I actually was expecting worse. Poor start to the season may have discouraged some of their fans.

Syracuse is doing us a lot of favors with some of their offensive decisions.

If we can hit 3s we can win this...the corner three is there for the taking

I know Cuse sucks, and I know the game is a lot closer than the score indicates (Cuse has missed some bunnies and BC has a couple fluke baskets), and I know the lead could be 20 with two minutes left and it still wouldn't be safe, but it's still exciting to see BC beating a team from outside the MEAC. If the Bowman of the last few games is the real Bowman, then this team might actually be dangerous this year, by which I mean three ACC wins, a near upset or two, and some catastrophically bad 40-point losses where either Bowman or Robinson has an off game.

I have no idea what's going on with this team... but I like it!

This could still get scary if Bowman/Robinson foul out

I mentioned this a few games ago, but Graves transferring seems to have been the best thing to ever happen to Bowman. Perhaps, he was deferring to Graves and playing a little out of position at SG. Or, perhaps he is stepping up knowing he's been ordained as the man. Whatever it is, the transfer has transformed his game.

By transfer who has transformed his game you mean, freshman who is learning quickly.

Christian has made some terrible ingame decisions over the past three years and this team has been ill prepared at times this season. We couldn't handle a 2-3 just a few weeks ago. His X and Os track record is mixed at best.

I've sat right behind the bench so have a take on this.

He tells them what to do, half the time the players just don't execute it. Whether it's his communication or not I don't know.

Either way, they really look like they're coming around...a little. Just wanna a fighting chance against any of our conference opponents, rather than the certain death that was guaranteed last season.

Not much to complain about, perfect game and shot lights out. Tava isn't good but his game is perfect in the high post against the Cuse zone.

ATLS take on this is terrible. I actually think Christian has a decent x and o grasp.
