Looking at the roster i noticed that Reyes got a med redshirt. Also Mo Jeffers is bigggg dude hope we can grab some rebounds with these two this year.

Article in the Globe specifically highlighted Bowman when referring the freshmen. Nice to hear he may be a legit ACC player, but we still need to hit on Popovic, Graves, and either Jeffers/Tava to have any shot at 3 ACC wins this year.

I think you need to give JC at least 1 year beyond this to get a true picture.

Saw Popovic and Bowman on campus last Saturday. Popovic is very skinny.

I will say this about JC, he doesn't pre-make excuses like Daz. Yesterday's Q&A seems a bit optimistic, and he says he is in a spot where he legitimately thinks they are good. Even uses words like "postseason".

Exhibition game Thursday, unlike the past 2 years, will be against an opponent with a center taller than 6'4. Last year's game went down to the final 2 minutes, would be a very bad sign if this year's game did as well.

Per a GW board, we got smoked in the secret scrimmage this past weekend. Who knows if that means starters, backups, whatever, but I guess FWIW. GW not expected to be good, having lost a few guys from last year's NIT champion and obviously the Lonergan crap. Picked 8th in the A-10.

Hoff reported Popovic had 16 and 6, though.

TOS reported that both teams were up by double digits at one point and that it wasn't a true "game" as situational things were practiced. All in all, not a disaster.

BC won but it was not convincing and the game wasn't out of reach until about the 30 second mark. I'm not as encouraged about the season as I had hoped I would be. Robinson and Jeffers the only two players that I would go so far as to say looked good. I'll do a longer write up at work tomorrow if there's any questions I'll answer them.... It's 2-16 season, baby!
