Jon Rothstein just tweeted that BC is playing in an event (not sure which specifically) at MSG next season on 12/12/16. BC will play Auburn and Seton Hall will play South Carolina as part of a doubleheader. The hockey program is also scheduled to play North Dakota at the Garden on Dec. 3

BC vs Bruce Pearl will be good for message boardery, if nothing else.

Till touchdown brings me round again to find
I'm not the man they think I am at home
Oh no, no, no! I'm a rocket man

How do you turn it over 11 times in 10 minutes? :ace

16 turnovers in the first half and could easily have been 20 on tipped balls and the like

Offensively we are completely hopeless when anyone other than Robinson tries to do anything

Eli Carter and Matt Humphrey wouldn't take some of the shots this guy Purifoy is taking (maybe)

Worst press break in history of basketball

Chatman and Owens do nothing for me at all. Play Robinson 40 mins at the 2, give all 40 mins at the 3 to Turner and Sagay

Considering the turnovers and the fact that they cant get the ball in from the baseline, Id say going into half close is a win

This is interesting because in years 1 and 2 the team was good at breaking the press.

BC has to start playing Reyes more. They need an inside presence. Auburn is contesting so many shots, BC needs someone like that, just for the presence of being there, even if they are limited offensively

I really think the thing holding back Reyes is he commits an illegal screen more or less every possession (called or uncalled)

BC is beating the number one ranked team in the SEC East. Christian has turned things around.
We have ourselves a basketball team.

I will admit they sucked me in because it started at 6:30.

That's a huge win in spite of some awful officiating. Popovic is really good.

30 turnovers. 57% from FT. Still get win. Jesus

Offense looked so so much better with Popovic in there as it often has, he's looked clueless on the other end at points but he was better in that respect today. Love Popovic's poise with the ball on the block

I think Popovic is going to be the starting center by year end and for 3 years after that

Bowman looked better today, he's totally hot/cold from game to game which may be a confidence/mental thing. He'll figure out when to put up shots on his drives and when to kick

Chatman and Owens were brutal today

We stopped making open shots and free throws at the same point of the game where we learned how to beat the press. Minor miracle we escaped with that one given we blew about 20 chances to pull away in the 2nd half

Bowman, Robinson, Turner, Tava, Popovic ought to be the crunch time lineup for the rest of the year (sorry Epstein, yes Tava)

I criticize Turner a lot but we need him to be "on" to have a chance and today he was

Hooray team!

Tava was horrific tonight especially on defense. Sadly I don't think we have another option on the bench.

Good win & I'm happy for the players. Still does not change my opinion of how the rest of the season will go.

Bruce Peal is very good at yelling.

Didn't look great at the actual basketball coaching thing

I'll agree that offensively they played selfish basketball but Pearl is crushing it on the recruiting end. If he can dodge the NCAA for a couple more years that team is going to be really good. As Roy Williams can attest, coaching doesn't really matter when you have all the best players

I give them a lot of criticism, but I am happy for them here; congrats, gents. Hard-earned W. These are the kind of wins that build a team.

I said this in the Harvard thread... you simply have to let the young players play, develop, gain experience and work through their issues. We ain't winning shit this year. Get the kids in position so they can grow as a team next year.

i guess it's not surprising but good lord did they struggle with the press.

auburn is not a good team at all

i'm not well versed enough in basketball to diagnose the problem but they struggle with entry passes to jeffers when he's in good position. don't know whether it's the pass or he's not aggressive enough grabbing it

nice win, popovich needs to play more great get by spinelli. there was 100% chance bowman was going to shoot that at the end, which isn't a bad thing we need someone with balls beyond robinson. key for jimmy mac will be stacking another jerome robinson type class on top of the current roster

anyone want to claim responsibility for this?

edit: guess zach spears is the mouthpiece for the basketball program that rubin is for the football program
