so first you bumped it and then one minute later you posted your proposed roster?

you're a weirdo (yeah, that's right - not a w3ird0z, a weirdo)

He's not even in contention for an asshat playoff game right now. Football board siriusbidness is dominating hoop w3ird0z right now.

i really think i'm going to term it as "worst poster" and get back to the days where a nomination made the pussy posters quit. remember when nick quit because he was nominated for the 1st annual asshat contest? i do.

yes, i also recognize the irony of me mocking others for quitting but i haven't quit in years and my quitting was about different kinds of pussy things

I nominated him with the understanding that asshat meant "worst poster." This was before snark and jackassery took over the election and thte original intent was lost.

I still laugh about NickedIn.

it really did take on a different form this year. eepstein's win 2013 was really in the vein of "worst poster" as was nickedin 2012 win. the 2014 contest turned into more of a pride thing. i found it less fun because people didn't get as offended and feelings didn't get as hurt.

if anyone has ideas on how to make 2015 demoralizing again, i'm all ears

I like the worst poster idea (unsurprisingly, since I suggested it...) and I think it would be useful if in either the nominee stage or the voting stage you had to go back through the user's posts and find an example of something really obnoxious or dumb they said during the year. This would also cut down on the blatant alias abuse which took a lot of the fun out of the contest, says this observer. It would also bring back "great" memories of the year gone by.

the lazy millennials of this site would not go back and do any research so you would basically have examples of teddy linking posts from militant or elivii or notorious that show them being duped by his acerbic wit or me posting links to transsexual penii

plus - how fun would it be to see 12 different links to hansen saying "this," siriuzbizness saying "i did not have sexual relations with that muppet" or eaglekeeper saying "we should fill in the corners so i have a new place in the stadium to masturbate and cry"

1: Eli Carter (30), Robinson (10)
2: Sammy (20), Milon (15), Hicks or Robinson (5)
3: Owens (14), Turner (14), Milon (7), Meznieks (5)
4: Reyes (25), Diallo (10), Owens (5)
5: Clifford (25), Diallo (15)

*Clifford, Diallo, and Hicks have been injury-prone so health is a concern. If Clifford and Diallo are 100%, this team wins at least 16 games. That’s a big if.

Nope.

Carter, Milon, Turner, TBD, Diallo.

SBT is going to have the fill it up role off the bench. For offense and not having both our centers commit two fouls in the first three minutes, it makes no sense to play Clifford and Diallo together.

That euro kid grew, I could see him starting at the 4 if he is strong enough

As of today, Diallo and Clifford are starting together, unfortunately. The rest of your lineup is right on. I like the idea of Euro-four but that might be setting expectations high.

I think Carter/Milon/Turner starting is a north of 90% proposition. The 4 and the 5 is where the questions arise. I don't think any of the candidates are clear cut - maybe Clifford, which is unfortunate.

I agree with you on the 1-3. I have some hope that Clifford with a full year in the gym, some better coaching and a real PF playing next to him will look better. He played acceptable in the Puerto Rico Tournament but when he had to play 30 minutes a game things went downhill fast.

This. Clifford playing 30 minutes with Heckmann or Odio at PF can only do so much. A 7 footer with a bad knee running up and down the court 30 minutes a game guarding the other team's best big isn't going to look impressive. Cliff will have a good year provided that he's healthy and JCR + Diallo do too.
