Bender {l Wrote}:I really would like Al to get the job and see how well he does. I think if he did get the shot he'd probably do well by putting together a good staff and despite playing pick up basketball every day around lunch time he'd get good results.
On a side note, do people view Holy Cross as a rival or is it similar to BU where the lower school views it as a rival but BC fans don't really care.
ATLeagle {l Wrote}:I would love to see Al get the job, but I don't think they will hire him. They don't want to hire someone BC fired.
I don't know how much Holy Cross is willing to pay but I think Spinelli might take it regardless. Head coaching slots don't come around that often for assistants.
twballgame9 {l Wrote}:Where have I heard this story before? New head coach loses recruiting assistant. Has anyone checked the current roster of Niagara GAs?
BCEagles25 {l Wrote}:if Spinelli is gone, this is the crossroad in the JC era. please don't hire some no-recruiting nobody
Bender {l Wrote}:Holy Cross does a great job hiring guys like this, they've proven they can do well on the lower levels of D-1, but they failed when they moved up to the big time. Their best recent success came with Ralph Willard who was in a similar situation.

Sounds like the complaints against Christian.
