It's completely fine. I own it. He wouldn't have gone as high as 25/12, but there is no reason to believe that a guy averaging 15/8 never seeing the ball couldn't go for a lot more on a two man team running pick and roll with the only other player. 5 buckets and 4 boards might be a stretch, conceded. But just saying he wouldn't do it in a vacuum because no one else did it is worthless analysis.
All Americans are not usually the stats guys. That has changed a little with the rise of the mid major, but stat guys are usually on shitty teams.
I have raised plenty of substantive objections to your silly statement in the past. I referenced the stats only to provide a greater context to your absurd statement, nothing more.
And with a good coach, I see Anderson averaging 17-10 at most.
So with a good coach that isolates Anderson and Hanlan on the pick and roll instead of sticking him in the paint while the guards pass it around the perimeter to jack a contested three, you see him gaining 2 points and 2 boards.
If a good coach made him practice FTs he would gain 2 points, doing nothing else.
