I wanted to start this thread so I could ask:
What genius thought it was a good idea for a white out?
I assume well do an Orange out for cuse & blue out for duke too?

1) White-out/Gold-out/Maroon-out has never worked at BC. Unless BC is giving away shirts upon admission (like the Miami Heat did at their home playoff games), the fans don't care enough to bother.
2) Even if they give away white shirts, there won't be any BC fans there to wear them. They barely drew 1000 people last night. What makes BC think Providence will move the needle that much?
3) The fact that PC's colors are monochrome is convenient.

There is a serious danger here that our opponent will have more fans at the game than we will. Maybe this is a genius ploy to disguise the true composition of fanbases at the game. Or maybe I'm giving the athletics department too much credit

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. - Boston College men's basketball fans are encouraged to wear white when the Eagles host Providence on Friday night at Conte Forum at 7 p.m.
The first 1,000 students to arrive at Conte will receive a limited edition "Beat Providence" white SuperFan shirt. The BC Bookstore will have a limited quantity of white SuperFan shirts for sale at the game ($9).
There will also be a 20 percent discount on all white t-shirts at the Hillside Shop and at the Conte Forum souvenir shops all day on Friday.
You gotta love the optimism!

This is an insult to the couple hundred non-student fans that show up to these games regularly. Where are their free shirts?

i will openly admit that "TURN CONTE FORUM WHITE!" makes me chuckle
ps - charging $9/shirt is a guarantee that the seats that aren't maroon from emptiness will be a rainbow of fruit flavors

Literally the dumbest thing I have seen coming from BC Athletics, and that says a lot. WHITE? You mean Providence's color? Oh, and we're going to charge for the shirts? What moron is in charge of things over there. Even BC splurged for free yellow shirts for everyone back in the Dudley days.
The entire operation over there is comically bad. And yes, I am starting to resent BC basketball.

This made me chuckle as well. I think Donahue already accomplished that

They're trying to hide the PC fans, there's no mystery about what's going on here

Yes, I was thinking about that the other day. I can't wait until Donahue's players are gone, but Garland Owens is the exception. Donahue probably believed that he could shit the bed for six years at a mill per year and then pull a Sweet 16 in year seven. The guy was truly delusional during his tenure at BC.

sadly, that will make tonight's white out much less exciting on this board.

to those of you supplying me with sweet, sweet karma... i didn't say roonie got tre'd (rhymes with speed)... i said he was murtered.
neither chaz nor i (the only two remaining badgeholders that aren't drunk with power around these parts) had anything to do with roonie's separation from this website

The important questions are how many minutes will Paschal Chukwu play, and how many times will CAG remind us that Onahue didn't even offer him?
