BC vs West Virginia in Puerto Rico

Postby eepstein0 on Fri Nov 21, 2014 7:44 am

WVU is UMass on steroids. Deep, long, athletic and press all game. George Mason was awful but WVU also looked pretty amazing.

BC keeps it relatively competitive before the half before getting the doors blown off. I will also be complaining about the officials as they hack BC up and down the court.

72-53 WVU.

Eh, probably. One PG is going to have big impact I think. Early foul trouble for Clifford or Owens will speed up the blowout.

Maybe offensively competent unstupid heckmann will make his biannual appearance.

You're spot on with the one scholarship PG observation. Hanlan will wear down against the pressure

I, for one, look forward to the announcers rehashing the recruitment of a career bench player who is sidelined until January with multiple injuries.

One PG? More like 0 PG.

this is going to be one of those games that goes from BC 21-18, to WV 34-21 in about 2.5 minutes.

Is this our boy Kevin Noreen?

Odio might play ahead of him in truth

Not saying that he is good, because he is not, but that "career bench player" has 39 starts in 3 seasons - about 40% of GP. He's also been a captain since he was a soph.

Interesting. I made an assumption based on his MPG average. I didn't care to do more research beyond that. My mistake.

Great explosive drive by Owens. He may be my second favorite player on this team.

This is literally a different basketball team.

As long as BC keeps attacking and doesn't start chucking they'll be ok

If Owens can handle 30 minutes a night I'd like to see much less of Heckmann

Owens can't defend without fouling. It's almost automatic

He always fouls with the arms.

Very important 3 minutes here for BC.

Very happy with that half. I think WVU might just start jacking up shots if they get discouraged, so I hope we can avoid a UMass-like meltdown in the first 30 seconds of the half. Also one thing about Heckmann, I do respect that he stays aggressive. Also, apparently Cain Carney has passed Caudill on the depth chart, because Caudill is dressed.

I'm complimenting the continued aggressive play DESPITE the stupidity, we actually need him to be aggressive and not turtle up. Would love to see less stupidity as well
