Instead we hired "a mac coach that already failed at tcu" does that make everyone other than me as wrong or wronger than me? I say I'm the least wrong. I also accuse you of being a pollyanna for not embracing my hatred of Christian's replacement, merryman coward.

for all his faults... mac christian is at least finishing 2nd or 3rd for his targeted recruits whereas your boyfriend beeker didn't even have a list of recruits. i hate both options but view mac christian's 2nd or 3rd place finishes as a step in the right direction and give him an "f" to beeker's "f minus."

in 3-4 years when we bring in paul grant as our new head coach, you'll be eating your words and washing them down with an iceball

well, I think one thing we can all agree on - especially Cadillac90 - is that firing Skinner was the right move.

of course... but only because they had such a solid back up plan in place

The idea that anyone can "fail" at TCU is fucktarded. That program makes BC look like Kansas. They've been to the NCAAs once since the 80s and got shellacked by Leonard Hamilton. They have had some epic NIT quarterfinals runs.

There hasn't been a decent player there since Kurt Thomas. The year after Christian left, they finished in dead last, 2-16 in the conference. They improved to 9-22 (0-18) this season.

I am fine with denigrating the massacre he laid on the MAC most season as that conference is bad at basketball. But let's not pretend that being mediocre to bad at TCU means a damn thing.

He was there for four years and in the fourth, had an epic shitshow of a program at .500. It isn't great, but considering he humiliated the MAC for a decade, focusing on the TCU years (or at least some of them, as it fits your argument) is moronic.

PS, Kent State hasn't returned to the NCAAs since he left. On an unrelated note, I am familiar with their current coach.

good for mac christian and his run of mac successes. i still don't think it will transfer to the acc, i still think he's small time, and i still think his sucking will be consistent through his short and non-illustrious career.

but he has them running in practice until they puke...

When Christian was in the Mountain West he was competing with New Mexico, UNLV, San Diego State and BYU, three of which he beat that last year he was there and almost beat BYU in the conference tourney. They had some kid named Jimmer. The team then went winless in the Big 12 that next year. He believe he had been asked to get a team to compete in the mountain West which is what he did.

Frankly I think Christian is a decent Xs and Os guy that I thought might be able to recruit by proxy well enough for BC to wash the stink of that miserable failure of a whistling finger-pointer from my eyes. Turns out that the recruiting part was a giant failure. Regardless, the guy can coach a little and you will see an uptick from the last loser, but I never disagreed that this is not a winning formula.

I just pointed out that your characterization of his time at TCU is stupendously wrong.

PS, as noted, no, the MWC was not bad at basketball when he was there - 2-3 ranked teams.

i accept being stupendously wrong about the last time he had to coach against real talent under the guise that the place of his employ was a giant dumpster fire.

i see now that the tcu situation differs greatly from the smaller, and much more managable grease fire that he currently controls.

maybe after all that running in practice he'll have them coached sufficiently to run an in-bounds play or even substitue his players and call time outs. the last guy was really good at that and it helped him to succeeed head and shoulders above his predecessor. only 4 more years until the cbi!!!! pay-to-play (CLAP) pay-to-play (CLAP)

I didn't say the TCU situation was much different that the BC situation. BC plays more good teams but has better players.
